The best part of rescue is seeing our dogs being loved. ❤️
Sweet Rusty arrived at our shelter in 2020. One of our volunteers at the time adopted Rusty and we thought he had found his forever home.
Unfortunately, in 2022, we found out Rusty’s owner passed away and he was relocated out of state.
Luckily, our shelter stays tied to our dogs through the microchips, so when Rusty was found as a stray, by a wonderful couple in Alabama, we were contacted.
Now, we KNOW Rusty has found his happy ever after.

Almost Home has been successful in removing 22 out of 24 dogs from the  home we previously posted about as of today.
Thank you to everyone who offered to foster and were able to quickly take the dogs into your homes We will keep all foster applications on file and reach back out when another need arises ( and those needs are becoming very frequent )
Our small and mighty group of volunteers worked hard to maintain the daily needs of the shelter in addition to dealing with this crisis situation concerning the removal of dogs from the house . It was a team effort .
Our vet bill at Hubbs Clinic will top off at close to 4, 000 dollars just getting all 24 dogs fully vetted and in better health I am pleased to report they are all clean , flea /tick free , worm free and have brighter days ahead of them
Everyone working in rescue will preach it loud and clear to spay and neuter dogs and cats and I promise …. This is the only way to reduce the crisis situations we are involved in
There are many rescues walking upon homes with 50 or more starving neglected animals … So please be an advocate for animals .
Almost Home would not be able to help Our community without the help we receive from our followers , and we are thankful for everything that is donated to keep us moving forward

Animal Control has brought in a small Cocker mix dog found on or near 28th Street in Van Buren. Please help us identify this dog and get it home if it has one.
