Tuesday's cuteness overload!
In the first picture-clockwise from the top and around like a cinnamon roll, it's Lisa, Marge, Homer, Smithers, and Bart, yes you read it right, the Simpson's gang!
These 5 were rescued in 2019 from a hoarding situation in Utah. Now these spoiled babies live here and have been seeing RMAH since the late summer of 2022. Some would say they were a little shy at the beginning but over the past two years these kitties have warmed up to us and continue to trust our cat whispering ways!

**Office Hour Update**

We will be closing at 11:30am today January 16th. We want to make sure our staff and clients are home safe before this next Ice Storm hits later this afternoon. If you have a pet emergency please reach out to Pacific Northwest Vet at 360.635.5302. We will be back in office at our regular business hours Thursday January 18th at 8am. Stay warm and safe!

**Announcement**

We will be closing early tomorrow, Friday January 12th due to the weather. We understand that it is still up in the air with the timing of this cold system that is pushing through the PNW, but we want to make sure our clients and staff get home safe before the weather changes. We are here today till 6 and tomorrow till 3 to take care of your beloved pets. Please call if you need to get in to see us.

What a beautiful Saturday we had down at the Walk/Run for the Animals. SWHS raised over $200,00 for their shelter animals this year!
Dr Cole was the runner of our group and the rest of us took it easy and walked the 3.1 miles.
To everyone that came up to say hi to us, thank you! It was great seeing everyone down there.

Rain or Shine your Red Maple Team will be down at Esther Short Park at 9am tomorrow walking to raise money for HSSW. Will you be there walking with us?
Each year at HSSW, thousands of pets receive lifesaving medical care, shelter, and second chance for a happy home. As of today $213,364 has been raised to save and change lives for these 4 legged fur babies. Thank you for those who have donated and or registered for tomorrows walk/run!

Annie came in for her annual exam and vaccines this afternoon, her mom knows the importance of year round flea,tick and heartworm prevention! Annie got to go home with 12 months of prevention and a new Kong toy!

So proud to announce that Dr Myers' is officially an AAFP Certified Cat Friendly Practitioner! We already knew she was amazing with cats but now she can show off her certification.
Do you have a scared or shy kitty? We have an amazing Dr and nurse that loves working with kitty cat's that need extra love and patience at the vet office. GO CATS!!!!

As it turns out, some pet's are so in tune with their owners' schedules that the one-hour spring forward can cause some confusion. Just like humans, animals have internal clocks that tell them when to eat, sleep and wake up.

**Today is National Golden Retriever Day**

Did you know?????
Golden Retrievers have a long and storied history starting all the way back in Scotland in the mid-19th century. They needed a dog with a soft mouth and excellent fetching capabilities, so they bred their best water spaniels with retrievers, and bam! The first Golden Retriever was born.
Nowadays, Golden Retrievers have evolved well beyond retrieving felled fowl. Not only do they make great disability assistance dogs, but they also specialize in detection and search and rescue efforts due to their stellar sniffing abilities.
