Myrtle has an update to share! She was up for adoption, but we got some news that her most recent lab work shows that she is in early stage Kidney failure😧

Don't feel bad for Myrtle, she is so grateful that she was rescued and got her nasty teeth cleaned up and her cancerous tumor removed! Now every day is a blessing!

We talked it over with her and came to the conclusion that it would probably be best if she stays in our forever foster program so that she can get the care she needs for the remainder of her days. She knows how tough things are out there now for a lot of people financially and we told her we have the best supporters that will make sure she gets the care she needs. Teamwork!

So now instead of looking for an adopter, we are looking for a forever foster home! What is that you may wonder? This is where you take the dog into your home for their remaining time and the rescue pays the bills! This sounds awesome right??? Well it is, but you need to remember you are taking on a senior dog that will need extra care so you need to be up to the challenge!

While we prefer the Portland area, we will consider other areas as long as you have easy access to a vet and vet specialty care.
Have a vehicle and be willing to take Myrtle to vet appointments.
You must love senior dogs and have senior dog experience... preference for anyone who is familiar with dogs with kidney failure.
Myrtle loves other calm dogs and she would love one or two that like to snuggle up and nap throughout the day!
Someone that understands that accidents happen and be ok with that! Myrtle tries but you know some days are better than others!

Week of April 29th - 0 spots available
Week of May 6th - 0 spots available
Week of May 13th - 0 spots available
Week of May 20th - 1 spot available
Week of May 27th - 1 small dog spot available
Week of June 3rd- 1 small dog spot available
Week of June 10th - 1 small dog spot available
Week of June 17th - 2 small dog spots available
Week of June 24th - 0 spots available
Week of July 1st - 0 spots available
Week of July 8 - 3 spots available

These numbers are less for extra large dogs and families with multiple pets.

Also a reminder that I am unable to accept new clients. I WISH I could groom every pet in the whole world but I am at my max. 💔

I do what I love and I love what I do. I plan to keep it that way with healthy work/ life/ family balance. Thank you for sharing the love and supporting my small business and my family.

Goose went for a bold new look! Thank you for the fun idea and creative freedom Roberta! We were going for mullet and bell bottom vibes. Last pic was his winter cut! Why not try something new!? I won’t be surprised when their neighbors are inspired to grow out a mullet after seeing this. 😉
