Meet squints! He came to us Friday after being found dumped at vancouver lake. He could not open his eyes at all due to having bilateral entropion. This is a condition where their eyelids roll inwards causing their fur and lashes to constantly rub and poke their eye ball. Could you imagine!? Luckily East Padden Animal Hospital could see him that saturday and do his surgery sunday! He is now on the road to recovery!
Although he looks big in this picture he is just a baby!

Have you met Plum? She’s the sweetest kitten being fostered by our very own Olivia. She was surrendered at 4 weeks old to save her from euthanasia due to atresia ani type 1: which means she has an improperly formed a**s.

Furry Friends Washington is funding all her care and Sunstone Veterinary Specialists will be donating her special surgery to correct her anatomy. Please consider donating to furry friends so they can continue to help sweeties like Plum!

It's getting chilly! 🥶Cold weather can affect your pet's joints, skin, activity, and routines. Here are a few tips to prepare your pet for wintertime:
- Provide a warm and cozy space off of the floor and away from drafts
- Sweaters or jackets are great for short-haired, small or senior pets
- Limit your pet's time outside in the extreme cold
- Some pets' nutrition needs might change during the winter. Talk to your vet if you think this might be the case.
