Good morning fam! While wrapping up last year we took in a couple of larger groups of dogs at once to get them safe before the winter cold hit in the high dessert and were blessed to work in tandem with our awesome rescue partners to divide and conquer their care and adoptions. This big beefy boy Rottweiler was one of the kiddos lucky to land in our collective care and because he is such a sweetie bean, he was adopted. However, the family that adopted him wasn't savvy with a protective breed. He didn't do anything wrong, he simply wanted to protect the new lady in his life from new-to-him guys in the home. So his adoption was a short lived 24 hour taste of what the future holds. He has done absolutely nothing wrong, no aggression, no biting, just doing his born task of being a protective breed. He has warmed up to men that take the time to gain his trust and with patience and positive reinforcement, we are all certain he will learn to love all of the man humans in his future. He is young, healthy, HUGE and a squishy love bug. I have sent quite a few emails and messages to other rescue partners and what I am seeking (especially, if I failed to directly contact you) is a rescue partner that is savvy with Rotties or similar 'power' breeds. Sadly, we still do not have a fence since that crazy storm or a foster placement for him. He is SAFE - but - we need to get him placed in a proper rescue situation where he can thrive, continue his socializing and training and eventually be adopted once and for all. If you can help, email me directly at [email protected]. His current location is SW Washington State and I am more than happy to help with some or all of the transporting in the WA/OR/ID area for the right fit.
