Tonight I got a little more brave than before and we officially are testing the protein BEEF! Skin test on belly and toe beans was fine, zero reaction. Now he’s chewing on a bully stick twist which is made from beef. If this goes A-OK, I will introduce canned puppy food with beef, then kibble. This one is extra scary because since getting him into rescue, I’ve learned his dad has severe allergic reactions to beef; including anaphylaxis and seizures. There is another puppy in his litter having allergic reactions as well and we are trying to narrow down what that one is allergic to. Also, there are two adults (one silver and one yellow) that poofed right up with allergic reactions the night they all arrived. So those ones are also being tested and watched like hawks until everything is narrowed down. For now, we know the only thing he 10000% is allergic to is fish protein. Other than that, he’s passed every other intro/test with ease! So fingers and toe beans crossed that his system has no beef with beef!
