We added to Dilish Farm this year with a sturdy greenhouse from through the NRCS EQIP grant. It's crazy to think that we made it to this point. Five years ago we were not thinking about where a 30'x96' greenhouse would live on the farm, nor would the farm ever afford it. For a small family farm 2024 was one of those rollercoaster years, and now that we have made it through our last barrel roll, we are optimistic for 2025. Business, and farming, continuously teach us perseverance, adaptability, and critical thinking so that we can learn to not be so hard on ourselves while we move forward. Seasons change, time marches on, and we are doing what we do best, playing in the dirt! Thank you for a wonderful year of support and good food. Seasons are changing as we wait for all the wonder and joy of what's to come.

For no notable reason I have grown fond of husk cherries, from tomatillos to ground cherries. They have provided me with wonder, curiosity, and fulfillment. These have crossed with yellow Queen of Malinaco, Purple de Milpa, and green tomatillos to begin producing various shapes and color formats. I have collected seeds from several that I was fond of so that I may grow them out to determine what traits I would like to focus on.

Why did the mushroom get invited to the party?? Because he was a fun-gi.
Try to giggle a little. Farm Puns aren't as bad as dad jokes but they're close.
Growing food isn't the only thing we do. Often, We realize that what we're actually doing is creating a little tiny ecosystem that we watch over like a caretaker on a planet or like an island. We're caring for our entire ecosystem of our Island and we bring little pieces of that Island out to the world to share. These mushrooms are not ones you would eat, but they do play an important role out on our farm. Without an invisible network of bacteria, above and below fungi, and millions of other microscopic things who knows what could go out of balance.
It's a reminder that the world is big and there's a lot of things we can't control. We are just like this little mushroom. All we can do is grow in our space the best that we can and enjoy all that is around us.

Mullein, known as "Hags Taper," "Witches Candle," and "King’s Candle," is more than just a plant—it's a symbol of light and spiritual connection. 🌿✨ Discover its magic as you tour the farm, see mullein in different growth stages, and make your own torch to take home.

First week of our Fall Share. Ground cherries, Apples, Tomatoes, Onions, Cucumber, Collard Greens, Carrots, Potatoes and some fresh rosemary & Thyme.

It's about variety and abundance while having just enough to be able to use it all before your next share.

Seeing a nutritionist; that's great! Who's your farmer growing you the most nutrient packed foods?

School season seems to line up with the most processed things. Getting into the busy season can cause us all to go for convenience foods.

What if it doesn't have to be that way!! Eat more of the right things and you will need less. And on a time when food is expensive isn't it better to go with less on more as the convenient thing to do.

Summer is fleeting, the colors have rushed over us; tantalizing our senses, all while the light continues to leave us sooner and sooner. Harvesting is constant, and when we don't do that you get to see a 8lb zucchini, weeds are seeding along with the bean crops.

THANK YOU!!! We had a fantastic, hot, beautiful evening of food, farm, conversation, and community in a space that was beaming with light and energy. We hosted several family businesses from to showcase the vibrant community and the wonders we can all offer. thank you for your time and patience with our first sit down dinner, and thank you for nailing it. thank you for your chickens and your stewardship of their lives through your love and care. you made garlic rosemary sourdough to pretty to cut, but we still enjoyed every crumb during dinner. surprised us all with a Dilish Farm garlic ice cream that was of this world, but it took us swimming through our taste buds wanting one more bite. why can I never get enough tres leches from you! You two are a dream with pavlovas, turnovers, and tres leches giving us the perfect amount of sweetness to end the night. We are building our community, strengthening those around us, and sharing it along the way.

We are already thinking about the next dinner and love that will be shared with it. We look forward to having you with us at the market, on the farm, or in the wild off the farm. Thank you and thrive on Fam!

A CSA is kind of a magic farm thing. Every year our members get the change to set up a set it and forget it for food.

I always look for ways to have automated things into my adulting life. Every week, every month there are staple things our household needs.
Why not just get that out of the way. I buy laundry detergent once a year. I get products set to auto ship. casa box of veggies gives you a farm visit for a chance to get out to nature and all your veggies are grown where you can trust it to be the best.
I am happy to make eating healthier easier. More fun and freshest.
