Lincoln came with Itchy for 2 months to stay legged up while their owner healed up from an injury.
She needed a lot of help with controlling her legs. She'd fast trot and lope, hoping they would be under us. She came so far with her trot/lope turning it into something comfortable and controlled. Her neck reining excelled after the first week, and she caught right on to it.
I'm going to miss having these girls around.
Sidenote... video was done by Bradley so it's a tad chaotic.
Itchy came with another mare for 2 months to stay legged up while their owner healed up from an injury.
We worked on building alot of confidence with a scary environment and being okay with a "loud" "busy" moving rider. She was jumpy if your leg bumped her wrong. We spent a lot of time learning to control our body and slow ourselves down at the trot and lope while neck reining.
Enjoy a bridle-less ride on Wyatt with me!
Sometimes he's just too Cool N Frosty for his own good. 💙
Zeus left after a mini 2 week pony boot camp. Worked through the pony scare tactics, and he found out I'm pretty sticky and his bucks weren't worth the extra calories burned.
I worked on settling with him, giving him confidence ehile under saddle, and rating himself back without a battle. Hopefully, he continues making good choices with his young 4Her.
Miss Faith after just a month here, when she first got here, I could barely get my leg over before she was ready to go go go.
Now she loves to drop her head and walks relaxed, the trot has some ways to go, but very impressed with her progress we made.
She might come back for another month to work on the lope, but we will see how she does with her owners over the next month or so.
Guess these never posted.
Fancy left last week after a 2 month colt start. She left a calm, collected 3 year old that is ready to get some miles put on with her owner.
She's already competed at 2 shows this summer with her owner and they made huge improvements.
Excited to see the adventures they have.
Frenchi left today after just a month of training.
She's learned how to overall relax and slow herself down. We have slowly gotten used to collecting and giving to the bit and its pressure. We load in the trailer with no issues, clip, and fly spray. She also got the basics of showmanship started.
Very excited to see her and her youth owner progress over the next couple years!
