We train bird dogs too. Hank just got back from his first trip to Summer Lake. It was his first big waterfowl experience.
We’re proud to say his owner and him had a great time and got quite a few birds. Hank was able to be casted at a distance, our directional work with him and his owner has really paid off!

Obedience isn’t always drills. Obedience can also be getting up on things, going under those things, and dealing with another dog doing either of those in your space.
Scotch works hard to have another dog, especially another intact male, this close to him. Imus even smelled him and checked him out but Scotch settled in and we got some amazing shots of them together.
Trouble welcomed 11 puppies the day after Thanksgiving. 🥰 She’s the best momma.
This is her last litter. It’s a repeat breeding between her, ‘Trouble’ and Ilco.

Find yourself bored training your dog? I see all too often where people get into a routine with training and everything becomes monotonous.
Training should be fun! Training should be challenging! You should want to train!
Training means spending quality time with your dog. Quality is more important than quantity. So get out there and train for fun, use obstacles, practice agility. It all helps with obedience and it's just as challenging if not more at times.
Working dogs or companion dogs this training helps create confident, well mannered dogs willing to take on new challenges. So go, have fun. Enjoy yourself and your dog!

Here comes Trouble! One of the more advanced PPD’s of our group, Trouble has the drive and stamina you want to see in a working dog.
Trouble is one of our breeding bi***es (Shadow & Helix are her sons) that’s more than motivated to protect her handler on a daily basis. Carrie has been handling Trouble for a few years now and I’ll tell you, Trouble keeps Carrie on her toes.
As of recent they have been working on dual attacks and long sends, fine tuning Trouble's ability to differentiate between physical provocation and passive provocation.
Thankfully decoy helpers Courtney and Logan enjoy what they do, as Trouble gets plenty of suit time!

GSD Helix (bred in-house) is always eager for bitework to begin and to sink his teeth into a decoy aka the "bad guy".
Helix and handler- Kaylee, has worked hard to balance intense drive, control, and precision allowing for full mouth bites.
At 2 years old, we have had the pleasure of training and watching both Helix and Kaylee progress in obedience and protection. We look forward to their continued development in the years to come.

Beatrice is in her 5th year of personal protection, and since she was adopted by her owners, she has become an integral part of the family.

Robert continues to hone Bea's control and focus in various obedience exercises and other environments in and outside of dog class.
Beatrice is both a protection and a companion animal to her family which includes Robert, his wife, and daughter which you can see regularly playing while class is being held.

Bea is the embodiment of a protection dog, both cuddly and fierce while exercising control and discernment in daily life. Their family is a prime example of why we love the work we do!

Grandkid and grandog enjoying our obstacle course and the weather. Marleigh (labradoodle) is the newest addition to the family. Adilynn (grandkid) has been wanting a dog and Marleigh needed stability. At a year and a half old, this is her fifth home.
Within the first week of having Marleigh they were able to teach her how to walk on a leash, come when called, and down stay (place, chill, settle command) in the home. They are currently working on building confidence and getting over separation anxiety. Plus Adilynn is loving teaching Marleigh new tricks when she visits us during Saturday dog class each week.
Both Ken and Curious K9 are excited to see her progress. Two weeks ago, Marleigh wouldn’t dare go up this obstacle, now she’s relaxing with her girl 🐾🐶💕
Congratulations to Joseph Bongcayao and dail family on your new pup as well as the Kabas (this will be there 4th puppy from us). So excited to see them go home to their new families. One other pup went home today as well but I forgot to get a family photo belle they left.

Hank was trained in upland hunting and our partner company Schilling's NW Law Dogs trained his force fetch.
