She is a Lagotto Romagnolo
Fun facts:
•They are the only purebred dog in the world recognized as a specialized truffle hunter.
•They were originally bred for retrieving game for hunters in the water marshes of Italy, then when the marshes were dried up for farm land, their career changed to truffle hunting.
•There are original paintings from the renaissance era that have Lagotto Romagnolo dogs in their art. So the history of the breed goes back pretty far.
•They are pretty rare in America today, with only about 500 registered to the AKC, and only about 3,000 world wide.
•They are highly intelligent, love to please their owners, and have a natural love for the water. 🐾🐶
