🎶 The 70s Throwback Litter from Remi and Klaus– Three Week update! 🐾✨

Our little rockstars are three weeks old today! They’re growing fast, wobbling around on tiny paws, and starting to show their unique personalities. Their eyes are wide open, their purrs are getting stronger, and playtime is just beginning!

Here’s a sneak peek at Rhiannon, Jude, Smokey Robinson, Cat Benatar, Roxanne, and Lola at this fun stage. Stay tuned for the cuteness overload! 😻🐾

🎶✨ Introducing the 70s Throwback Litter! ✨🎶

We’re thrilled to welcome our newest Maine C**n kittens from the beautiful pairing of Remi (our blue silver queen ) & Klaus (our black smoke king)! This special litter is full of personality, and in honor of the golden era of music, we’ve named them after some legendary 70s icons and hits.

🌟 Meet the Stars of the Show:

💫 Rhiannon – A mystical black silver (possibly blue silver) girl with a soulful, enchanting presence (Fleetwood Mac would be proud!)

💙 Lola – Our stunningly large blue smoke girl, as bold and unforgettable as her namesake

🔥 Roxanne – A striking black smoke girl with a fiery spirit (though no red light required!)

🎸 Cat Benatar – A fierce, fabulous, and very big black silver girl, ready to hit you with her best shot

🎤 Smokey Robinson – our smooth and charismatic black smoke boy with superstar charm, he’s going to be a stunner!

🎶 Jude – The largest in the litter! - A handsome black silver boy, bringing all the good vibes (Hey, Jude… don’t make it bad!)

💗💗💗Remi and Klaus litter update 💗💗💗

Remi and Klaus have blessed us with the most beautiful 70s themed litter of six precious Maine C**n kittens on January 29th 2024, each one fluffier and sweeter than the next! Their tiny paws and soft purrs have filled our empty (for just a day or so lol) nursery with warmth, and watching them wiggle and snuggle together is pure joy. Five of these little darlings are thriving, nursing happily and growing stronger by the day. Unfortunately, one of our fighters is battling a little infection, but we are doing everything we can to help him pull through. He’s a tough little soul, and we’re hopeful that with love and care, he’ll soon be back with his siblings, ready to steal our hearts just like the rest. Once he’s on the mend, we’ll be sure to share photos of him so everyone can see just how special he is, too! 😻😻😻😻😻😻

My Eras litter are 11 weeks old today !

This is such a bittersweet post - but this will be my babies last photo shoot update (from me)- as they will all be in their new homes next week 😻 I know their new families are anxiously awaiting their arrival and I am so so excited about every person that I entrusted in giving them the best forever homes possible! 🏠🫶🏼

Klaus is a black smoke 🖤and Remi is a blue silver tabby Maine c**n💙

What is your favorite Maine C**n color !?

Did you know that smoke refers to a solid cat and silver refers to tabby?-

Smoke and silver Maine C***s both owe their stunning appearance to the inhibitor gene which causes the fur to lack pigmentation and creating a gorgeous shimmering affect ! Smoke and Silver differ in their coat patterns. Smoke Maine C***s are non-agouti (not tabby ) meaning their coats appear solid but reveal a lighter undercoat when the fur is parted. In contrast, silver Maine C***s are agouti (tabby) displaying the classic tabby pattern with light silver or “white” ticking along the hair shafts, giving them a shimmering, striped look (however they can carry a solid copy but agouti (tabby gene is dominant so with only a single copy it will present itself). The distinction between solid and tabby patterns lies in whether the cat’s coat shows tabby markings. Solid cats lack visible stripes or spots (even if faint ghosting may occur in kittens), while tabby-patterned cats exhibit defined markings such as stripes, spots, or swirls, characteristic of their agouti gene expression.

Many people mistakenly think “tabby” refers to a breed, but it’s actually a coat pattern found in many breeds—and even in mixed-breed cats! The tabby pattern is one of the most common and comes in several forms, like stripes, swirls, spots, or a “ticked” look. What makes it so distinctive is the classic “M” marking on the forehead (this doesn’t mean a cat is a Maine c**n with this M just indicates that they have a tabby pattern). Since tabbies can be found in so many breeds, including Maine C***s, Bengals, and even the everyday domestic shorthair, it’s easy to see why people might confuse it as a breed itself. However, “tabby” simply describes the beautiful pattern, not the lineage!

As for tabby or solid in Remi and Klaus’ litter - there are 50/50 odds! As all kittens whether male or female will get a single pattern copy from both mother and father. Solid is recessive and tabby is dominant . Klaus has two solid copy genes making him a solid cat and with the inhibitor gene it makes him become a smoke 😻Remi has one solid copy and one tabby copy, therefore she presents as tabby but still holds that solid copy in her genetics that she may pass on to her kittens.

Therefore, their kittens have a chance of becoming a solid or tabby and most likely all will also be smokes or silvers as well if they receive the inhibitor gene. This is highly likely as both Remi and Klaus carry the inhibitor gene as well as their parents too!

We are expecting a gorgeous litter and I hope they come out all healthy and good weights 😻💕

* ! Klaus is the sire to my beautiful Maine C**n kittens. He is 18 months old this month with plenty of time for more growing ! He came from a wonderful line of large beautiful healthy Maine c***s in Russia! Black and Blue smoke have to be some of my favorite Maine c**n colors although I do love them ALL! He (height and length should be done around 2 and then he will continue to bulk up until 3-4 yrs old !) He's actually only about 21 lbs as of now but looks much heavier ! Isn't he so gorgeous he's always seeking out my attention and asks for kisses all over .. Nothing better than a big snuggly Maine c**n ! Mila is my gorgeous little black Maine c**n queen J, She is 16 months old and about 10.5 pounds right now with a long slender figure- she is still growing and will be around 14/15 pounds most likely fully grown - She has a wonderful personality and comes from a healthy and large line of Maine c***s in Italy ! Her parents are on the larger side with her dad weighing around 28 pounds! She's the queen to my litter of adorable kittens that will be going to their new homes soon!
