I don't know how some of you train your dogs, but I can tell you there are some pups that come in that I would never be able to handle being the bad guy 😆. LOOK HOW CUTE 😍

A matted dog is not always a complete shave down. Some could say I specialize in saving coat length. whereas Ms. Ruby likely would have been shaved bald due to matting, I took extra time and worked some magic and was able to save a little over a quarter inch of hair. I'd say that's a win. No completely bald puppy and little length left to ease her transition from such a long coat to a ton shorter. Before, during, and after photos for your viewing pleasure.
Edited to add: this is done completely without dematting so totally humane in every aspect. In fact, I was happy to spend the extra time with her to build table confidence.

This morning I find myself profusely apologizing to Ms. Neela because HOW DARE I wash her sister first 😅. I got yips of disproval and the stink eye left and right while washing her sister Zuri. I can't even get her to look at me 🤣.
