I received several private messages regarding the Holiday Policy yesterday. To clarify, this policy has been in place since our opening two years ago as well as the standard no-show fee.
As a courtesy reminder, being late to appointments such as doctor's, dentist's, or eye appointments often results in missed appointments, rescheduling, and additional fees. Similarly, tardiness to nail or hair appointments usually necessitates rescheduling. I kindly request that you make every effort to arrive on time for your dog's grooming appointment.
If you anticipate arriving early, please call or text from the driveway to avoid an early entrance with your dog. My longstanding policy dictates that if you are more than 10 minutes late, you will be required to reschedule and pay the applicable fee.
When running late to a grooming appointment, please consider the following:
1. Your groomer has subsequent appointments scheduled, and tardiness may cause inconvenience to the next client, particularly given our one-on-one operating model. While exceptions may occur, they are rare.
2. Late arrivals can disrupt the groomer's workflow, potentially rushing your dog's grooming and increasing the risk of anxiety and chaos for both the groomer and the scheduled dogs.
3. If you are turned away and required to reschedule and pay the fee (which is deemed fair), refusal to pay may impact the groomer's livelihood and result in permanent removal from our schedule.
This policy may seem stringent; however, it is essential to note that our contract and waiver, thoroughly reviewed and agreed upon during the initial visit, clearly outline these policies.
To maintain fairness for both parties, I prefer not to require pre-payment for appointments. I do not retain your credit card information to charge for missed appointments. In such cases, I absorb the loss and do not rebook the appointment.
The only exception to incurring fees is if I cancel the appointment, as stated in our contract. I follow school district closures and delays, and in cases of severe weather with travel advisories, I will cancel and reschedule appointments without charging a fee, prioritizing safety.
