Hey there everypup!!!

This is your not so subtle reminder that flea & tick season has officially begun.
I pulled this nasty sucker off a pup this morning on his lower left leg. Make sure when you're taking your dogs out for exercise or even quick potty outings that you check them THOROUGHLY after & contact your vet about preventative treatments.

Bathing them at home with Dawn dish soap is the quickest way to rid them according to Dr. Google, but please do that as an absolute last resort. Dawn is SO incredibly drying to the skin and hair and must be rinsed extremely well in order to remove it. Best option in home that I have found is the brand Vet's Best flea & tick shampoo. You can find in in just about any store. It does have a VERY strong scent, so be aware of that and use in a well ventilated area or wear a mask so you don't inhale it too much if you're sensitive to stuff like that. Don't forget to let your pup "marinate" the recommended amount of time to ensure effectiveness and you may also need to bomb your house with foggers.

Reminder, if I find fleas or ticks on your dogs, they get a special shampoo bath added to their service to prevent the spread here in house and to kill off anything else that's on them. It's an extra $20 on top of your total each time I have to do this.

So be proactive and get on those treatments!

Good morning families,

Please hold one of our clients close to your hearts today, give your own pups an extra treat & squeeze, as our friend Charlie has gone over the Rainbow Bridge. It was very sudden and unexpected. His brother Benji, mom, & dad need all the light and good vibes.

Charlie was 5 years old, loved cheese, & playing ball.
I'll miss you little guy🩷

After a very long, tiresome, stressful 24 hours I'm cooked.

Thank you to my super understanding clients for rescheduling your pups with such short notice.

Cold weather snaps are not good for many of our 4 legged friends, but especially horses.
Thank you everyone who checked in today and was supportive in my panic over my boy.
He's finally eating and seeming like we are over the hump.
Had a blood draw done for Lyme, just in case. Those results will be in sometime between Friday & Tuesday.
For now, he's comfortable and as I said EATING finally and not picking/refusing.
And thanks to my hubs for installing the 2nd camera in his stall so I can continue to be an obsessive nutcase🤣

Sirius, one of the Great Dane Doodle boys got his very first full haircut!
Finally got to use my 1" Guard Comb attachment on a full body beautiful style. His mama takes such good care of him at home and man does it show!

My dear clients (current & new & future)

I'm going to come across as an angry lady here for a second.

Today while working on this sweet Mini Poodle, as I was shaving her face a man walked into my doors with his giant dog, ignoring the sign on my front door (All services by appointment only) and in doing so, caused this sweet girl to startle. I knicked her nose bridge and under her eye causing a small laceration and razor burn.

I'll admit, I lost my cool on this man and screamed a few profanities as his dog barked at my client on the table, while he asked if I could cut his dogs nails.

Nope. Absolutely not.

From here on out, when you drop your dogs off to me I will be locking my front entry door and it will remain locked until your dog's services are completed to avoid this from ever happening again.
Accidents happen, but THIS was totally preventable and should never have happened in the first place. I am done with entitled people just showing up and not calling, texting, or messaging here on the business page expecting walk-inservices. I've never allowed it and I'm not about to start.

Am I being a jerk? Yeah, maybe. However my priority has and always will be the SAFETY of the pets left in my care. Thank goodness for understanding owners like these (and all of you) that know this would NEVER happen on purpose.

To say I'm mortified this happened, is an understatement.

To the guy who walked in here, have the day you deserve ✌️

Today is National Australian Shepherd Day!!!

What better way to celebrate than to spend the afternoon with this handsome dude!

Russell is 11 years old and he comes in to see me for a good blow out and trim of his feet. He's a pretty active guy, having to keep his brother Riley and sisters Emme & Reagan in line at home, and to make sure the horses behave too of course.

Sweet Miley!
She's a 7 month old mini golden doodle and today was a real trans-fur-mation for her!

Her mom takes EXCELLENT care of her at home, I didn't find a single tangle or mat on her.

When you do the work at home, I'm able to do any style you want!

Granted she's definitely not perfect, but puppy coat is giving way to her incoming adult coat and pretty soon (probably by summer) she will be in full adult coat and we can do even more fun styles with her!
