Dr. Scott got the opportunity to help feed and play with a litter of Bullmastiff puppies he delivered two weeks ago.
This is something, as a vet, we rarely get to see or do. We deliver the pups and then we usually only see them at 2 months to certify them healthy to go to their new home. Then we rarely see them again.
This was a very special experience. Thank you Primetime Bullmastiffs for the opportunity.

This is the best example and reason why being a vet is worth it.

We are in the process of rolling out our new online pharmacy. We have been informed that some clients have received emails about the online pharmacy, but cannot input any information. We still have a few things to work out and will notify you when the pharmacy is up and running. We are super excited about this new tool/service for you.

Vernon Vet Clinic would like you to join us in to welcoming Dr. Ryan Van Vliet to the Clinic. Dr. Ryan is a recent graduate from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and is eager to see your furry, feathered and scaly friends.



Also be advised:

Starting February 6, 2023 Vernon Vet Clinic will be closing at 6PM every Monday to give Dr Scott and staff a much needed break.

Unfortunately we were, once again, notified by our drug and vaccine manufactures and laboratories that they would be raising prices in January, February and March. In some cases, our costs will go up nearly 30%. As much as Vernon Vet tries to keep costs as low as possible, we do find it necessary to raise prices. We are also experiencing some inventory issues with products on backorder. Some of the online pharmacies, who are able to make large, bulk purchases, are getting preferential treatment. Since these price increases and product unavailability are completely out of our control, please do not take these out on the staff. Inappropriate conduct or comments will not be tolerated!

As a reminder, if a doctor refers your sick or injured pet to an emergency hospital, please understand that this is for the HEALTH and SAFETY of your pet! While we do see some emergencies during office hours we are still a general practitioner with limited emergency facilities and staff and no 24 hour monitoring. The doctor(s) on duty still have to see appointments that were scheduled days and weeks in advance and must be fair to the clients and pets scheduled. Again, any improper comments or mistreatment of staff will not be tolerated! Foul language and insults will not get your pet in to see a doctor and will have you banned from the Clinic immediately.

Our doctors and staff work hard to keep your pets healthy and happy while leaving their own pets at home for 8, 10, 12 or more hours a day and deserve respect and compassion while fulfilling their duties.

Together, let us make 2023 a special year for humans and critters alike!

If a staff member should refer you to an emergency hospital or other facility, please understand that this is for the health and safety of your pet and to ensure that they get the proper and adequate care needed. We hope to return to full staff as soon as possible.

Please be advised that, due to recent manufacturer and supplier price increases, Vernon Vet Clinic has had to raise prices on certain medications, vaccines and other supplies.
As much as we make every attempt to keep our prices as low as possible, these price increases are beyond our control.
We have had several instances where clients have been loud and rude with our staff. Please do not take out these prices increases on our staff. They have no control over prices of services or products.
