🍂🐾 Fall Road Clean-Up Success! 🐾🍂

A huge THANK YOU to all the amazing volunteers who came out today for our fall road clean-up to support the Vernon Dog Park!

Your time, energy, and community spirit made such a difference — not only in keeping our town beautiful but also in helping raise funds for a cause close to all our hearts (and paws 🐾❤️).

We are so grateful for every set of helping hands that showed up. Vernon is lucky to have a community like this. 💛

🚨🐾 Keep Your Pets Safe in the Heat! ☀️

As temps rise, remember our furry friends feel the heat too! Here are a few tips to keep them safe:

🐶 Never leave pets in parked cars – Even with windows cracked, temps can soar in minutes.
💧 Keep them hydrated – Make sure clean, cool water is always available.
🌳 Walk during cooler hours – Early morning or evening walks are best. Hot pavement can burn paws!
🛑 Watch for signs of heatstroke – Heavy panting, drooling, lethargy, and vomiting are all red flags.

Notice: Poison Ivy Alert at Vernon Dog Park

We’ve received reports of poison ivy growing along the fence line inside the dog park. Please use caution when visiting and keep both yourself and your pups away from the fence area until it can be addressed.

🌿 What to watch for: Poison ivy typically has three shiny, pointed leaves and may be climbing or spreading near the ground.

📸 If you spot more areas with poison ivy, feel free to share photos or locations in the comments or message us directly so we can keep track.
