Dear Prayers for Greg
Hi everyone! We thank you for your continued love, prayers and support for Greg ... it's a slow process, but working.
Greg surprised me this week, along with his PT therapist ... it was a wonderful surprise all the same. Greg was able to take about six steps. He is using a Walker, it's the same type he used prior to falling. I am so proud of him.
He is having a little trouble transferring from the wheelchair to the hospital bed. He promised to work really had this week on that.
Bless his 💜 heart, there are days when his speech is unclear and slurred. The Higher Up's are saying that I can work with him. "Hay y'all we might could be in a bit of trouble. Y'all bring your goodies so's we might be practicing'. Don't want my old man sound in' funnie." 😳
On his good day's he gets excited about coming home, but his bad days are filled with depression and dementia ... they are the worst.
His time is almost up at the center where he currently is staying. Per Medicare ... if they see no improvement, your out. They give you five days to make other arrangements. So I’ve been making phone calls all over. I love this small town we live in, unfortunately not much is available to our Veterans. They do have one doctor and her Nurse here a couple days a week.
Been there and done this before (thank you for the experience, Chris 💙🦋) I just need some equipment and we are ready to go ….
Again friends and family keep it up, y’all is doin a mighty fine job ❤️🩹.
