Whether you have an elderly dog, an athlete, a show dog, a hurt dog, or simply a beloved pet companion, massage therapy restores, maintains and enhances your pets overall physical and emotional well being. Our therapists have advanced training in canine skeletal anatomy, advanced canine muscle anatomy, other canine anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, pathologies, common conditions and various massage and muscle therapies. Our team has experience in myofascial release therapy, trigger point therapy, lymphatic drainage, passive range therapies, and strength and balance therapy… (yes, we were trained at a school specifically for canines!) Our work also involves basic obedience, relaxation and most importantly, communication and trust building with our shy and fearful pets. The perfect candidate for this position must be very personable, professional and organized.

Shifts are from 7:30am-4:30pm, sometimes 5:30pm.

Weekend days as needed.

Making reservations, checking in and checking out guests

Filing and office work

Data entry into company software

Cleaning and front of house upkeep

Answering phones, taking messages and communicating messages

Country Club style customer service

Santa is coming to South Paw today!

Dogs, dogs, dogs! We can’t get enough of them! #lovewhatyoudo

Senior dog social club for the last couple of days! Sometimes we have the ability to make a day group just for our seniors, utilizing our private suite with the yard attached. On South Paw’s future goal sheet, we plan to have an entire detached senior lounge center focused on day play and lodging for senior and special need dogs, for now, we accommodate and make do when we can using our private suites. Thank you for bringing your dogs to stay and play with us AND supporting our future of helping dogs live longer and stronger!! #seniordogs #helpingdogslivelongerandstronger #goals #fulfill

We had another visit from the neighbors dog today which kept the pups entertained for a bit. He stays far away from the fence but they certainly have a lot to say to each other.

🔊Sound on 🔊!!! Our nap time is so critical to maintain happy, healthy dogs. Within about 30 mins of closing down for nap time, most are snoozing! 💤 A full house today and not a peep during nap time. Our nap time is from 12-1:30pm. Our facility closes down during this time everyday to help minimize distractions so the pups can rest and rejuvenate! The pups look forward to this time!

As canine massage therapists, we teach dogs to stretch. (Downward dog, side stretching, cat/cows, etc.) These boys learned to stretch on command years ago. You may be familiar with seeing a chiropractor or enjoying a massage yourself, but did you know that these therapies can also have enormous benefits for dogs and cats? No longer just considered for the “pampered pet”, complementary bodywork therapies have been around since the 70’s and has become a normal part of canine and feline physical therapy and rehabilitation. Massage and bodywork treatments restore, maintain and enhances your dogs' overall physical and emotional well being.

Dogs and cats may need bodywork therapy for any number of reasons. Patients include those who have undergone surgery, patients with injuries for which surgery is not indicated, elderly patients with mobility issues, patients with diseases of the nervous system, dogs with abnormal conformations and working and sporting dogs with their unique injuries and needs. Massage also prevents injury, helps with anxiety, builds confidence and feels oh so good!

We use a variety of tailored and specific physical medicine and techniques to restore maximal function and relieve pain. These might involve: Massage therapy, active exercises, passive range of motion exercises, wheelchairs or other support equipment, water therapy, hot/cold therapy and more.
