🔥Diablo🔥 doing the “Double Point Drill” This drill is great for mounted shooting horses and mounted shooters! Why is it good for People? ⭐️ The Drill allows you to work on leg position, leg pressure, gun changes, off/strong shots, and focusing on multiple task at once (turning the barrel, focusing on your shots, and body & hand position when executing the maneuvers in the pattern) Why is it good for the Horse? ⭐️The Drill allows your horse to show its strengths and weaknesses as the Drill has barrel turns, quick maneuvers, and a lead change. This is an amazing way to get your horse focused on you and your commands - as the horse will have to understand your cues and body position to execute the drill work. Diablo has been placed on the drill to overcome some hind end weakness and lead swapping when not asked. He has become very confident on the Drill pattern but he has previously ran barrels so instead of asking for a lead change in the middle, I ask for a canter-trot-canter transition or also known as a simple lead change to be able to reassure myself and him that I am still in control of the speed and momentum going through the drill.
