Youth Programs
Our stables understands that young riders are the future of our sport. We want to encourage them to enjoy the sport, while also providing education and support for their equestrian endeavors. Our youth programs help introduce young riders to the many different breeds and disciplines and reward them for continued interest and dedication to the sport. We offer an academy program ALL Levels, as well as horse program scholarships for all of our Youth Members. Many of our affiliates also have youth programs, which you will find along with our own programs in the infomation below.

Fun Fact: Horses have nearly 360 degree field of vision!
This is due to the positioning of their eyes on the sides of their head. However, they have two blind spots – one directly behind them, and the other just in-front and below their nose. This means that they cannot see the grass they are grazing on, or the carrot you are sticking out to them! Instead they use their mobile and sensitive lips, whiskers and sense of smell to know what is in-front of them and decide if they want to eat it.

I never knew much about horse trainers. But training horses is just a part of their job. They are the ones who Instill discipline in these young people. They are the ones who show them that hard work and persistence pays off. They are the ones that are quick to adjust the numbers to make them straight. They are the ones who encourage people not to give up after a rough ride. And they are the ones who give tough love when needed. This picture is just a snap shot of what they do. These young people will carry the lessons they learn for the rest of their lives. Discipline, persistence, patience, and humility are the traits that they will carry with them.

POTENTIAL DANGER OF HORSE HAIR ~ In a press release today, the National Institute of Health has announced the discovery of a potentially dangerous substance in the hair of horses. This substance, called "amo-bacter equuii" has been linked with the following symptoms in female humans: *reluctance to cook *reluctance to perform housework *reluctance to wear anything but boots *reluctance to work except in support of a horse *physical craving for contact with horses (may be an addiction) Beware! if you come in contact with a female human affected by this substance be prepared to talk about horses for hours on end. This was a public service announcement ... Surgeon General's Warning: Horses are expensive, addictive, and may impair the ability to use common sense. Be careful out there ladies....

What makes a great show parent is someone who is always prepared and always seems to have a back plan when something doesn't go perfect, which seems to always happen. Not to mention a good show parent is always there for you no matter what, win or lose, good ride or bad ride, alway there helping you!

My horse has a personal trainer -- Neva, a Nutritionist -- Dan, A chiropractor --Dr. Erin, a massage therapist -- Bridget, A custom Shoemaker --Stefen, An on call Doctor-- Lodi Vet & Badger Care, and they all come to his house....

Me? I have a bottle of Advil, a heating pad and a clear limp when jogged on hard ground...!!!
