Penny is such a great dog, we decided to breed her years ago to keep a puppy for our son. Well, several litters later and we have two of her daughters that we love and adore. She makes a fantastic mother, doing a great job raising her puppies and loving them. Ziggy gives us a litter a year, the only litter we produce. Ziggy and Denim are both DM clear, and VWD clear. They produce beautiful puppies

! Our puppies are paper trained before they leave my house, and have HOURS upon HOURS of love by my kids at home. We may not mass produce puppies, but the few we do raise make outstanding pets, can be used for work dogs, and best of all are wonderful companions. Ziggy actually helps us work the cattle every day! If you have never owned a Corgi, you are missing out on such a blessing from God!!!

It's been a rough few days with this girl! Ziggy not only got mastitis, but she also has a uterine infection! I noticed she wasn't doing well on Saturday, so I came home early from Tulsa to take care of her. She has NEVER lost a puppy, but we have now lost 2. We are working closely with our vet, struggling with a fever, but we hope the remaining 5 make it. She is at least now eating her hamburger and rice we make for her, so that is good. She is much brighter tonight... so thankful for that!

So after everyone went to bed, Ziggy decided she wasn't done! Vet said 5, maybe 6 on the ultrasound. Ziggy was HUGE, and I was so worried. We'll, she gave us 7 live puppies..well done for her last litter. I love my Zig Zig!

Been a wild afternoon! Tornadoes too close for comfort! I was on my way home, and had to stop to shelter at the Aurora PD as it hit. Listened to the PD radio on the confirmed sightings and touchdowns. Saw my car get hit hard with huge hail... sigh. Then busted home to get my car out of the water. No electricity... for a few hours now, which means no water. Hopefully, everyone is ok.

Things I'm thankful for; having my kids and their significant others over to help do things around the farm, and help me cook. Ben and Rebekah Temte helped split wood while Seth, Glenn and I cut it. That large pile of trees is from that awful storm we had in July. Lots of wood to cut and stack. Then we offloaded some hay. Now we are relaxing while I smoke some ribs and salmon, along with cream cheese. Such a pretty day today!

Good day today with family. Seth and Glenn Callison are in Louisville at a cattle show, and Rebekah Temte, Rachel Callison, and Benjamin Stewart helped me at home working calves and cleaning up, after watching Seth show on the TV. Rachel and I went to the church brunch together and enjoyed the fellowship. And the sunset was worthy of taking a picture. I'm blessed and thankful for my family.

I just love this little group of pups! They make the cutest noises when they nurse they are one week old today and I bet they are twice their birthweight! Penny is an awesome mom. ❤️

Our Story

Penny is such a great dog, we decided to breed her and to keep a puppy for our son. She is the only dog we had bred, we are not professional dog breeders! After her first litter, every puppy sold before they were 8 weeks old! Even though we wanted to keep one, we let the puppy go because someone else really wanted her. She makes a fantastic mother, doing a great job raising her puppies and loving them. Penny has sense raised several litters, with her last one produced in 2018. Her daughter, Ziggy, is now our only female we use to breed, just once a year. Our puppies are paper trained before they leave my house, and have HOURS upon HOURS of love by my two teenage children at home. We may not mass produce puppies, but the few we do raise make outstanding pets, can be used for work dogs, and best of all are wonderful companions. If you have never owned a Corgi, you are missing out on such a blessing from God!!!
