We’re super excited to welcome a new member of our lesson herd: Otis aka Gettin Chocolate!

Otis comes to us as a free lease. He is soooo sweet and chill and is already friends with Khlay, Gizmo, and Jazz. We’ve started to introduce him to lessons and he’s passed with flying colors! 🤩 We can already tell he’s going to be the new favorite. ❤️ Welcome Otis!!

Jake Biernbaum of Pear Tree Ranch is coming to LEC August 24th-25th for a Two-Day Fundamentals Clinic!!

🍐All riding spots have been filled but there's still plenty of room for auditors! Price is $25 per auditor per day. You can come either day or both and stay for as little or as long as you want! Payment can be paid via cash or check day-of. Please bring your own chair.

🌳All ages and disciplines are welcome. The clinic will focus on fundamentals--aka everything you'll ever need to work through any problem!

🍐About Jake: Jake travels all over the country helping humans and horses develop a partnership that will allow them to achieve any goal. Whether you want to show, trail ride, do liberty, or simply have a partnership with your horse that will last a lifetime, Jake is there for it!

Week 2 of summer camps is complete!! 🌞

One of our goals with summer camp is to show kids the full experience and reality of horses, which definitely includes getting your hands dirty. 💪🏻 But even scrubbing water tanks is fun when you’re with good friends and you have horsey time to look forward to!

Liberty Equestrian Center in Verona, Wisconsin is looking for a riding instructor for beginner and intermediate riders.
If you enjoy teaching kids and adults about all things horses-> this is for you!
We're looking for applicants with experience in safe horse handling, who are dependable, hard-working, and have a passion for the industry. LEC is a busy lesson barn offering private lessons, group lessons for more advanced riders, and seasonal clinics for beginners.
Our indoor arena is insulated and can be heated during the winter, and we have a large outdoor arena as well.

Liberty Equestrian Center in Verona, WI is looking for a weekend mornings chore person.

Responsibilities:
- Feed grain to stall board and rough board
- Feed hay to rough board
- Refill pasture water tanks
- Turn out
- Pick and clear stalls
- Restock hay and water in stalls
- Occasional medication administration
- Other horse management needs, such as fly masks, blankets, general health checks, etc.

Compensation:
- Pay starts at $15 an hour
- We can accommodate 1 horse for rough board
- Plenty of opportunities to sub for other shifts throughout the week

It breaks our hearts to post this, but it's time. Our Bullseye has let us know that it's time for us to say our final goodbye.

Bullseye has such a special place in our hearts. For many of us, he was our first introduction to horses, patiently teaching us how to groom, tack, and ride. He was the original lesson horse at Liberty, so we quite literally wouldn't exist without him.

We're thankful we were able to give him one last good summer and we want to let him go while it's still warm and sunny. We're sending him over the rainbow bridge on Wednesday, 11/29. We want to welcome everyone to come visit him today and Tuesday and you can bring him lots of sweet treats before he goes. Come any time and let him know how much he's loved.

So, thank you Bullseye. Thank you for your kindness, your sweetness, your patience, your goofiness, and for everything that you've been for us over the years. We're going to miss you so so so much. These words don't begin to capture how much you mean to us. Someday we'll meet again. We love you Bullseye. ❤

Introducing LEC’s newest lesson horses!! 🥳

🤍 GABE 🤍 is a 13 year old Percheron/Arabian/Quarter Horse gelding. He is the sweetest guy who just wants to make his people happy.

☘️ LUCKY ☘️ is a 16 year old Welsh Pony gelding. He is also a total sweetheart, but definitely has that pony sass!

These BFFs are coming to us from a quiet, secluded life where they were the only horses on the property and weren’t asked for much. In the coming weeks, our instructors will be working with Gabe and Lucky to show them the LEC lesson horse ropes. They’re super smart and seem to know a lot, so we’ll probably see them in lessons sooner rather than later!

Stop by and introduce yourself to Gabe and Lucky the next time you’re at the barn!

We had so much fun yesterday hosting Emily Rose of Reaching Strides Equine Rehabilitation for her Equestrian Biomechanics clinic!

Everyone was so engaged and excited to learn how to activate the correct muscles while riding. It was so cool to learn about the ”why,” try out some exercises on the ground, and then put them to work while in the saddle. Seeing the positive effect of a strong core on our horses in real time was incredible. The day was full of lightbulb moments and we’re going to be buzzing about this clinic for weeks!!

This clinic was such a success, we’re already teeing up a follow-up clinic for the fall. Keep your eyes peeled for a post, as spots for participants and auditors will be limited.

A huge thanks to Emily for coming out and blowing our minds and to the participants and auditors who came excited and ready to learn!!

🗣️ We have a premium stall available starting September 15th!

The stall measures 12’ by 12’ and has a fan, one window to the outside, and one window to the barn. It’s located in our lower barn where lesson horses and students come and go, so this stall would be a great fit for a friendly horse!

Board is $550.99 (including tax) and includes grain and turnout to grass pasture. Geldings or retired horses only as our mare pasture is full.

Thank you so much to Mary for giving King some much-needed bodywork!

We could tell that King needed a little extra care recently, and thought we'd try some bodywork with him to try to help him relax his muscles and release pent-up physical and mental tension. Horses are just as sensitive as us humans, and can benefit from massage just like us. It was so rewarding to see King let go of his stress! 🥰
