Lois Lawrence, a founding member of Angel's Wish, once rescued a kitten from a construction site. Weak with starvation, dehydration, and a severe upper respiratory infection, neither veterinary treatment nor Lois’ love and care could save the kitten from the effects of that hot June day. We believe that Angel's Wish would have been that no other animal be subjected to pain, suffering, abandonment or neglect.

Introducing Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and Georgia O’Keeffe—three talented siblings hoping to make their grand artistic debut in loving forever homes. Rescued from a rural area where their mother couldn’t care for them, these tiny creatives have been given a second chance thanks to the kindness of some truly wonderful humans.

🖌️ Michelangelo is the bold visionary of the bunch. Outgoing and adventurous, he adores back scratches, never turns down playtime, and approaches every new toy like it’s his next masterpiece.
🖌️ Georgia is the gentle heart of the trio. Soft, affectionate, and devoted to her brothers, she may need a little time to feel comfortable—but once she does, her tender personality blossoms like one of her namesake’s floral works.
🖌️ Leonardo is the thoughtful, introspective artist. Initially shy, he takes his time warming up, but with patience and kindness, he reveals his loving nature—especially when he’s curled up with his siblings.

Meet Stella, a wide-eyed, brown and bronze beauty looking for a second chance. 🤎

She’s one of the cats we rescued from a 98-cat hoarding situation, and understandably, she’s a little shy around people at first. But her sweet personality is already starting to shine through. Each day, she uncovers a little more courage, discovering that human hands can offer comfort, full bowls and soft blankets are hers to count on, and that her life will never again be defined by scarcity or fear.

Now, Stella is ready to trade uncertainty for a lifetime of snuggles, quiet moments, and the steady reassurance of a patient, loving home. As an Angel's Wish Forget-Me-Not, her adoption fee has been waived as part of our 25th anniversary celebration. What a day at Angel’s Wish! 💛

Thanks to the incredible teams from Dane County Humane Society and Angel's Wish coming together—one vet, three vet techs, and 10 dedicated volunteers—we completed 25 spay/neuter surgeries in one day, a new record for our on-site clinic!

These 23 kittens and 2 mom cats have been lovingly cared for by fosters while they grew big and strong enough for surgery. Now they’re ready to meet their forever families this weekend! Most aren't on the website yet, but we can't wait for you to see these cuties in person!

As we close out our 25th anniversary year, we’re reflecting on the heart of our mission and the tiny kitten who inspired it all. Angel was found at a construction site by one of our founding members. Despite her rescuer’s love and care, Angel didn’t survive the neglect and illness she had endured. Her story became our promise: that no animal should ever face pain, neglect, or abandonment again.

Why? Because the party was so good, we’re celebrating for another weekend! We’re continuing our reduced adoption fees this weekend to make sure that as many cats as possible find forever homes, and to clear space to take new friends in.

Today was the first adoption event during our 25th Birthday adoption special, and 22 kitties found their new homes! 13 five-month-old and ups were adopted for $25, plus 7 kittens, too! We also celebrate 2 Forget-Me-Nots going home...Kenzie and Grover! What a great start, and we still have nearly 70 kitties to still choose from! We can't wait to see who goes home tomorrow! 😻

🌼 Special, strong, and ready to be yours with a waived adoption fee through Sunday, November 23: meet Daisy. A tiny kitten with a huge heart, Daisy may look delicate, but she’s full of inner strength and sparkle.

With her soft brown-and-white tabby coat, pink-and-black toe beans, and big hazel eyes, she’s pure perfection. Playful, snuggly, and endlessly sweet, Daisy is ready to bloom in a home as special as she is.

You may notice Daisy moves a bit differently from other cats. An illness as a kitten left her a little wobbly, and Daisy was diagnosed with cerebellar ataxia—aka “Wobbly Cat Syndrome.” She doesn’t let this stop her from her kitten nature, and she climbs, scampers, and hops her way through life with unstoppable joy.

Daisy’s looking for someone with patience and understanding of her movement troubles, ideally with soft floors and minimal stairs. Cerebellar ataxia is a lifelong condition, and the best medicine is a calm, forever home for Daisy to feel safe in, even if she takes a few tumbles.
