“I Wonder Why?"
This is the simple phrase I lean on for strength, love, and direction. It helps me navigate my mental, physical, and emotional health, maintain compassion and stability in my relationships, connect with horses by understanding their behavior and needs, parent my children consciously, and hold space for my coaching clients.
This phrase does not hold me accountable for knowing the answers and doesn't allow me to lose my sense of self. It opens my heart and mind to clearer thinking and helps me identify how to respond or what to do next – what a gift!
This phrase is also powerful. It can create curiosity, creativity and empathy while simultaneously breaking reactive patterns and stopping fear, frustration, and overwhelm from taking over.
When I wonder “why,” I become fully present, learn, and make more authentic choices - it feels honest, freeing, heartfelt, empowering, and kind. I am often pleasantly surprised by how situations are resolved and emotions become regulated when this phase is at the heart of my interactions.
I invite you to ask “why” more often and see what happens! Embracing curiosity can open your heart and mind to new possibilities and create meaningful change in our lives and those we interact with!
