Hagan Saddlebreds congratulates Johanna Kapioltas and HS Daydream’s Perfect Gentleman (My Royale Charm x A Daydream Believer (BHF)) on being named Shelbyville’s Limit Five-Gaited Champions!
While she needs no introduction, his dam is one of the most prolific broodmares of all time. A Daydream Believer (BHF) is the dam of 29 foals, many through the process of embryo transplant. She is by WGC sire Attache’s Born Believer, sire of Three-Gaited WGC CH Hollywood Excellence among many other world title holders. Her dam, Dream A Dream (BHF), is by WC sire WC Sultan’s Spartan and is line bred to Three-Gaited WGC CH Valley View Supreme. Dream A Dream (BHF) is a half sister to the well-known CH Spirited Wing and to Inspiration’s Star (second dam of multiple five-gaited WCC CH Tigerlee). A Daydream Believer (BHF) was an outstanding performer and a thrilling powerhouse in the show ring, earning world’s champion titles in both the fine harness and park divisions.
A 2008 inductee to the Broodmare Hall of Fame, A Daydream Believer (BHF) is a full sister to WC CH Vegas Dreams, RWC Keep Dreaming, and RWC I Am The Dream (BHF) (dam of WCC CH HS Baby Steps, WCC HS I’m A Dreamer, WC HS I’m Hot Wired, RWC HS I’m Dreaming The Blues, etc.), and is a half-sister to Man What A Dream (BHF), dam of WC Riverdreams’ Remarcable, WC Exclamation Mark! and WC Riverdreams’ Spitfire.
This ultra game mare earned her Hall of Fame broodmare status by virtue of such offspring as Fine Harness WGC CH Castledream, Three-Gaited WGC HS Daydream’s Heads Up, WCC CH HS Dignitary, WCC HS Decorum, WC HS Daydream’s Believe In Me, WC HS Daydream’s Fashionista, WC HS Daydream’s Celebrity, RWC Dream Castle, RWC CH HS First Day, and RWC HS Daydream’s Perfect Gentleman. She also produced HS Daydream’s Heiress (dam of WC HS Brilliant Heiress), HS A Faithful Lady (dam of WC Tua), A Pleasant Surprize (dam of WC Just Surprize Me), HS Daydream’s Dream Girl (dam of RWCs HS Color My World and HS Dream Girl’s Darling Doris), and RWC sires HS Castle Vision and HS Daydream’s Dignity. Her last foal was born in 2015 and A Daydream Believer passed soon after.
Her breeding is a classic example of the “golden cross” of CH Wing Commander x CH Valley View Supreme. The cross, which first appears in her third generation, is known for producing the beauty and elegance of CH Valley View Supreme combined with the power and motion of CH Wing Commander. When beauty and gameness go hand in hand, remarkable things can happen as evidenced by her show and produce records.
