Come visit us today at the waterfowl hunters expo in Oshkosh Wisconsin at the Sunnyview expo center. We will be giving a seminar on training your dog for waterfowl hunting and another on puppy development. I have my awesome assistant Elise, Hall of Famer Teddy, Jones, Addie and our newest pup Jackie with for demos and pets. Seminars are at 2:00 and 3:00. Hope to see you there!

Autumn x Roy pups will be 2 weeks old tomorrow. Eyes are opening up and they are starting to walk. They are gigantic. Most have tripled in size already!

Wow it’s been a busy past couple of weeks. The dogs and I ran back to back weekends in HRC at Muddy Waters and Key City. This was a relatively young and inexperienced batch of dogs this year and we couldn’t be more proud of how far they have come in training. Overall the past two weekends we passed 23/27 tests (24/28 including Jones who was handled by Carolyn Elam) with 10 dogs earning new titles. Congrats and thank you to all the owners who trusted us with your dogs.

Cooperstown’s Girl of Summer (Summer) - 3/4 in Seasoned to earn her Hunting Retriever (HR) Title.

Missouri River’s Autumn Sunset (River) - 4/4 in Seasoned to earn her Hunting Retriever (HR) Title.

Cooperstown’s Mr. Jones (Jones) - 1/1 in Seasoned to earn his Hunting Retriever (HR) title. Jones spent the winter and summer with Blazing Red Kennels together with Flattimber Kennels and Carolyn Elam. Thanks for all your hard work Carolyn!

Cooperstown’s Corkscrew (Addie) - 4/4 in Finished to earn her Hunting Retriever Champion (HRCH) title. Addie went 6/6 this summer in finished! We are just scratching the surface of what this dog is capable of.

Cooperstown’s The Beast (Foxxy) - 2/4 in Finished. Foxxy only had 4 weeks to train post weaning puppies before our first test and she wasn’t even doing triples yet. She did so well. We have the engine, transmission and steering wheel installed. Just need to work on the brakes and the sky is the limit for this dog.

Waterdog’s Prophecy of the Chosen One (Vader) - 2/2 in Finished to earn his Hunting Retriever Champion title. Vader was trained by Felkner. Jake had some things come up and was unable to run Vader in Iowa so I grabbed him on Sunday afternoon, trained for 5 days and we headed to Iowa. Vader did a great job and we smacked those tests!

Miss yellow, our last Foxxy x Teddy puppy hopped a plane with her new owner and headed west to Colorado for a life of chasing birds and ribbons! Have fun with her Scott!

Great afternoon training with Jerry Petraitis and Weston from Aspen Creek Kennels yesterday. Fun visiting my boy Rickey and running him, Addie and Foxxy. Gave Derrick Kunsman dog Roy a good scratch and grabbed a bunch of ducks for flyer day at my place. Good day!

Happy Day! Six of the seven Foxxy x Teddy puppies went to their forever homes today. These pups are headed to New York, Kentucky, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Colorado. Can’t wait to see how they turn out! Thank you to our buyers. Enjoy your pups!

Great weekend at the Inaugural Cranberry Country HRC test in Tomah, WI. We ran a bunch of young/inexperienced dogs and passed 10/10. Huge thanks to Adam Bally and Anne Millane and the club for hosting the test and thanks to all the judges and workers for working so hard. It was darn hot all weekend but the dogs and people made it worth it.

A few views from the office today. Foxxy is fired up to be back in training. Had a brief rain delay (of course!) but then got back at it. All the dogs did great! Special thanks to my awesome wife for bringing dry shoes and socks after getting poured on with rain.

Ms. Sedge - Sedge is owned by Don Silloway
out of Teddy and Don’s female HRCH Nessie. Nessie was one of our pups from our Nellie x Jax breeding. Don has been coming out a couple days a week and helping me out throwing marks, loading wingers and shotgunning. He’s then been working with Sedge and I’ve been able to help him out with a few things. She’s a really fun little dog and they are turning into a great team. And man does she have a staunch and stylish point. 😎

We have to brag on a couple of our pups who recently did some pretty cool stuff in hunt tests and field trials. All the more impressive is that these dogs were trained and handled by their owners who are both amateurs.

First photo is a Molly x Roy pup who already has his Senior Hunter title and just earned a JAM at a Qualifying Field Trial. Great Work Brady and Nash!

Second photo is an Autumn x Kane pup who earned his HRCH title last weekend at 1 year and 1 week of age! That’s right HRCH title! Amateur trained and handled. Great work Edwin and Bama!
