No one is remotely close on their guesses. So, I'll just post the aging results.

Just shows how hard it is to judge a deers age on the hoof.

🦌🦌🦌 Let's play a guessing game 🦌🦌🦌

Last year I sent teeth from these 5 deer (and others) to a lab that does cementum aging. The results were not what I expected.

The first to guess the correct age of all 5 gets a free CWA hat.

Comment your guess on the main thread not on the pictures. The deer are in order A-E

List the letter of the deer followed by the yrs of age. Your guess should look like this:

A 5
B 10
C 5
D 25
E 5

🦌 Here's a basic whitetail price list for 2024 🦌

Lead times are still around 6-8 months and youth season deer should be done before Christmas (as long as we don't get too many)

New this year, we'll be taking in euros.

Still looking to buy nice capes especially early season ones.

Here's a couple of giant Michigan stream browns. This was a fun piece to work on since I'm somewhat of a brown trout nut myself. I think they are some of the most beautiful fish in the world. Michigan is one of the best places to catch 20"+ fish, but it's not easy! They can be elusive, finicky, and picky at times. All that just adds to the elation when you catch a fish in the 25" caliber, like these both are!
I am not taking in any fish at this time but I have a few other taxidermists in Michigan that are extremely talented that I can reffer you to if your are looking to have some fish done.

Here's a cool custom piece that I just delivered to a couple of my favorite customers. These are both custom altered poses.

Every piece tells a story.

The younger buck is marking the territory by leaving his scent on the rubbing tree. The older buck is not happy and about to kick some buck butt 🤪

This finished up the 2023 whitetails.

I have a handful of projects to work on but as of today I am accepting more whitetails. If you have one in the freezer get with me and we'll schedule a drop off.

Quality taxidermy is wildlife art. We work with meduims like clay, foam, epoxy, paint, and many more. The skin of an animal will tell you if you have propper anatomy with your prep work.
The ability to marry the skin of an animal to what's underneath is what separates a taxidermist from an artist.
Anyone can put skin over foam, an artist, brings it back to life.
