Running an ear cytology is in integral part to diagnosing an ear infection in your pet but more importantly knowing what kind of an infection it is. How do we do run an ear cytology? We take a swab from your pets ears, stain the slide, look at the slide under a microscope and from there our techs determine what kind of bacteria is present and we treat accordingly. There are many treatments for ear infections and not all treat equally so it’s always best to bring your pet in if you think they have a possible ear infection.
