The City of Vicksburg Shelter has so many wonderful animals for adoption we get in daily that needs a loving home. Adoption Fees are as follows, Cat $80 & Dog $100, includes spay/neuter, & basic vaccinations. Any other animal's adoption fee depends on the cost to us to set up for that animal. Come on down to 100 Old Mill Road, Vicksburg, Ms just off of North Washington Street in the Kings Communit

We are closed on: Saturday and Sunday. Thank you in advance. Volunteer hours are Monday-Friday 8:00-11:00 & 1:00-3:00. And please update us with pictures if you have adopted from us, we love to see how the fur babies are doing.

This is chip. Chip is a chihuahua mix already weighing at 10IBs. He will be no bigger than 20Ibs fully grown. He is a bit on the shy side but once he gets to know you he has a funny little personality. Chip gets along with other dogs and doesn’t mind cats.

This is Sam. Same is a 2 yr old chiweenie who loves people and isn’t afraid to tell you what’s on his mind. Sam weighs 7Ibs and is done growing. He doesn’t mind other dogs or cats.

This is pearl. A mini poodle who only weights 5.2 pounds. She has had a rough life but luckily that is over for her. Pearl is 8-9 years old and the sweetest little girl you could ever meet. She loves to cuddle in your lap and would even make a good purse dog. Although her age, pearl has come out of her shell sooo much since her grooming apt. She loves to dance and use her little muffled bark when she is excited. Pearl was so matted that she couldn’t see. Since she has gotten the Mat off of her face she is adjusting to seeing again. She will bump into things every now and then but that doesn’t stop her from moving and playing around. Pearl also has some dental issues. She has tarter built up pretty bad but that doesn’t stop her from eating or drinking, so adopter may need to take her to the vet to get her teeth checked out. Pearl deserves someone who is going to love and treat her like the queen she is, she will NOT just go to anyone. Poodles require frequent maintenance and grooming so adopter will have to have knowledge of the breed.

Beautiful 2 yr old husky. Very big boy but is so gentle and friendly. He doesn’t mind dogs as long as they don’t get close to his food and doesn’t go too crazy for cats.

😍😍Both have been adopted.😍😍 These 2 are looking for a new home. They’re not from the same home but love to play with each other. The female chihuahua is about 2-3 years old & the male maltipoo is 5 months old. Their adoption fee is $85 which includes their 1st set of vaccinations & their spay/neuter.

C-15, male. A year old lab, that, typical of the breed, is still very playful. He doesn’t mind the rain. He goes where people go! Another very good boy.

K-8, male. This 2-year old honestly does NOT look like this. Weird cellphone lighting did a terrible disservice for this beautiful boy. You have to see him to know he is wonderful!!

💙💙PULLED BY RESCUE💙💙 K-31, female. 2-years old and 4-months old. You get to guess which is which. They were caught and surrendered. Although they are fed and feeling great, they definitely need a home.

K-27, 2 grey tabbies. Tuxedo can visit since they all get along. Cats can seem indifferent, but they really just want to have a say in how they adapt to our world. These older pets deserve a home.

K-26, beautiful Tuxedo cat. Been here since the beginning of November. Surely a home is in this lovely’s future!

K-29, All three of these babies are 4-months old. They are calm and doing well with all the barking dogs behind them. Such good-looking and used-to-dog home kittens!

ADOPTED K-28, orange kittens, 11-weeks old. Sweet, active babies. So much fun to watch kittens play.

K -10, female. 1-year old cat that was a bit unnerved by me and barking dogs. Our new shelter will have separate rooms for cats and dogs. Adopting relieves stress!

K-4, female. The weird eye thing is a fault of my camera’s auto lighting. She is a fine, beauty and loved having attention. She is 4-5 months old and has been here since July.

K-5, males. These kittens were all found in the same area and are about 4 months old. They’ve been here since July 2022. They sure need a home. Good guys that are in a tiny home due to being born. Please help!

K-12, male. Big 2-year old grey tabby. What a great boy. Friendly and playful. He will be happy with whatever you offer. He is a lover!

K-32, Mom and kittens. Mom is a year, babies are about 2-months old. They are all safe and well-fed, but Mom needs room for a break. Be a hero to this family… or to a couple of them??

The City of Vicksburg Shelter has so many wonderful animals for adoption we get in daily that needs a loving home. Adoption fees are as follows Cats $60 (unless already fixed then it’s $30) Dogs $85 (unless already fixed then it’s $40), includes spay/neuter, & basic vaccinations.
