This sweet girl suffered a fracture in both her ulna and radius. A special thanks to Dr. Saviori at VCA Oso Creek, who stabilized her injury before referring her to Dr. Hudson for further evaluation. Today, she’s having her fracture repaired and you can bet she received lots of love and attention before heading in for surgery🐾

📣Exciting day at our hospital! Today, we have the pleasure of hosting Addison, a young "vet in training." Sponsored by Boehringer, Addison was one of the lucky winners from her school Trinity Episcopal School - Victoria, TX to get an inside look at the world of veterinary medicine, learning from the best in the field. 🩺

And what’s a better place for this experience than at a hybrid hospital where she gets to experience general veterinary medicine and specialty medicine!

First stop: General practice with Dr. Riley Burrows, where she is observing the day-to-day care of pets and gaining invaluable insights into routine veterinary procedures and treatments.

Second stop: Observing the specialty world of veterinary orthopedics with Dr. Caleb Hudson. Addison got to witness a consult exam with Dr. Hudson and a patient referred for advanced treatment. 🐾

We're thrilled to inspire the next generation of veterinarians and share our passion for animal care! Be on the lookout for more pictures of the amazing day happening here today.

04/07/2023

Laser therapy, also known as low-level laser therapy (LLLT) or cold laser therapy, is a non-invasive treatment method used in veterinary medicine to promote healing and reduce pain and inflammation. The therapy involves the use of a low-power laser to stimulate tissue repair and improve circulation in the affected area.

Laser therapy can be used to treat a variety of conditions in animals, including:

➡️Arthritis and joint pain: Laser therapy can help reduce inflammation and swelling and improve joint mobility in animals with arthritis.
➡️Wound healing: Laser therapy can speed up the healing process of wounds and post-surgical incisions.
➡️Skin conditions: Laser therapy can help reduce inflammation and itching associated with skin conditions such as hot spots and allergies.
➡️Tissue regeneration: Laser therapy can help promote tissue repair and regeneration in animals suffering from muscle and tendon injuries.

For information on laser therapy and other rehabilitation options for your furry friend, please call our office at 361.573.3572.
