After a 15 hour day, as I stand in this hallway to turn the lights off for the night, I’m reminded that this is an absolute dream come true. All of the hectic back and forth of horses on and off the walker, the thousands of steps we take in a day, the easy horses and the chaotic ones that we work, all slows down for the evening, and everything is at peace.
It’s been early mornings and late nights over here lately, feeding and haying everything to only seem as if we’re doing it all over again in just a short amount of time. But this is honestly what I’ve prayed for since opening two years ago.
A full barn means full days- full of purpose and passion. Each stall holds a different story, and it reminds me why I pour everything into this business. From the horses that will be leaving in a few weeks to go down the road and achieve goals, to the ones who are with us for a while longer achieving small comeback goals daily, to the veterans of the sport and the up and coming rookies, we love watching each and every one of these go on to do great things.
It’s not always glamorous. Some days are tough, some are tougher, but I wouldn’t trade a second of it. Seeing this place full, alive, and thriving is everything I’ve ever hoped for.
A big thank you to my clients for trusting in our program, my girls for being such standout employees during this time, a great vet who is always a phone call away, and everyone who has helped along the way.
We’re just getting started!
With this being said, I have opened my personal barn up as well to take in more horses during this time (because 20 is never enough😅). If you have messaged me about bringing your horse in to stay this week, I have your spot held! We are extremely limited tho, so if you need to get on the list, call/text asap!
