🌟🐴 This Week at The Riding Therapy Center: Skill Building and Fun! 🐴🌟

🏇🌈 It's been another fantastic week at The Riding Therapy Center! Our riders have been busy enhancing their fine and gross motor skills through engaging and interactive exercises designed to boost their riding proficiency and cognitive abilities. This week’s highlight was a colorful, educational obstacle course that combined learning with horsemanship.

🎲🐻 Our riders navigated the arena with precision, stopping accurately to roll dice which determined the number and color of counting bears they collected. This activity not only honed their stopping skills but also required them to adjust their reins carefully and anticipate changes in their path. The challenge continued as they maneuvered through obstacles to deposit their bears in matching colored containers on the other side of the arena, engaging their core muscles with each bend.

🧠💪 These exercises are pivotal in fostering not just physical skills but also boosting confidence and problem-solving abilities. Each rider's success is a testament to their determination and the incredible support of our staff and volunteers.

Alongside this, they worked to collect natural aids to complete Ricardo, our magnetic skeleton, enhancing their understanding of equine anatomy and riding essentials.

First day back to school today, so we celebrated with puzzles! They’re fun and they help us practice fine motor skills and matching!

We start each lesson with a quick warm-up to prepare our riders for their lesson ahead. Exercises like cross body low fives help strengthen core muscles used to help maintain balance while riding which can transfer to better coordination during everyday life.
