I haven't been posting much since our visit to Nevada to the South Point for the horse events because I came down with hay fever upon returning home. I'm still having nasal congestion. So you might not see much from me.

The Nu Bounty Hunter - Riddick was weaned and doing amazing with his training. I'll try to get current video. He is huge for such a young age.

We have several horses for sale. We will get video as time goes on.

I am still awaiting surgery...

Photo is of Cash To The Max - Castiel and he is up for grabs. My breeding program is going a different direction and I never had plans of breeding this boy he is a 2023 foal and is registered as a half Arab.

Cash To The Max - Castiel

8/6/2024

This boy is magnificent.

He has a great pedigree to boot.

HH Maxemus x JJ Cowgirl Cash

This boy is bred to be a rening stallion or gelding currently intact and available to the public. I never had intent to breed this boy. Keep him a stud or geld him.

Contact for further information.

He leads, ties, picks up his feet even at liberty and knows how to disengage in hindened and forquartarers and more.

He is AHA Registered as a half Arabian. I hate to see thos boy go. I'm breeding for a purebred Arabian this year!

He had extensive training as a foal.

Chincoteague pony history was made this morning!

The auction record for highest-selling foal was broken! This little filly has quite the pedigree—her dam, WH Wildfire, was a descendant of Misty herself, and her sire is the island’s most popular pony, Surfer’s Riptide.

Earlier this year, saltwater cowboys discovered the filly’s mother gravely ill, and the mare tragically died despite all attempts to save her. The orphaned foal was brought to the Leonard family’s farm and was nursed by one of their mares.

The Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company (who owns and manages the wild ponies) decided to keep her as a buyback, a foal who stays wild on the island. Buybacks are auctioned off, but instead of buying the pony, the winning bidder wins the rights to name the pony. “Buying” a buyback is basically making a big donation to the fire company.

There are now several groups of pony fanatics who pool their money to “buy” buybacks every year, and one such group won the auction with a hefty $50,500 donation to the fire company. They named the pony Wildfire's Phoenix.

Phoenix makes a lovely addition to the wild herd!

This coming Sunday we will be gone away from home again. Going to be spending some great time away from the Ranch. This time it's for a Dr. appointment that I have on Monday. If my memory is correct we will be back Tuesday.

With all these heat warnings there hasn't been much going on at the Ranch except farrying our own horses like we used to. This will save us a lot of money!

We not only have common farrying tools like nippers, raspy, hoof knives, etc. We also purchased a grinder with the help of my fiancé's dad. It's a great investment and so much easier to do the horses feet with. So far none of our horses have had any issues with the grinder they all have been excellent.

Yes, we trim outside horses feet to and we are not limited at the moment on the number of clients we can take on. We already have three clients and willing to take on more! Just give me a shout in private message!

Those of you that have been following my content have probably noticed I haven't been posting training videos or saying much about training. I certainly haven't posted any videos of my fiance and I going out on rides. In all honestly with the several jobs my fiance and I have then the heat warning and trimming our own horses feet it's been rough to get time in for ourselves or to train. As I have mentioned before my fiance can no longer train horses due to a shoulder injury. She's had surgery and it didn't work like it was intended. I myself am being careful with what I do since I am lined up for surgery soon.

I Willian is so tired of people calling me and my fiance Stephanie and our ranch, Viking Ranch horse flippers.

I William started out with grade broodmares and grade gelding. I even purchased horses for our lesson program.

I sold my unregistered broodmares to acquire registered well known stock horses. I sold unregistered gelding for registered broodmares.

I sold unregistered lesson horses that didn't work out for better stock.

I don't know how this makes me a horse flipper. I owned the majority of the horses I sold for a year or more. :(

I do have rideable horses. Most of my stock is too young to be ridden. :( All my stock is trained, nothing here is unhandled.

I have yearlings and up coming yearling. Which a farrier decided to abuse one of my yearlings. He had only been farried three times prior and was a good boy! Now I'm being told my horses are rank by the farrier. :/
So in return I have gone back to doing my own horses feet as I should of kept doing. Because I've been having surgeries and too busy I got a farrier. :( I learned my lesson.

The yearling that was abused picks up
hos feet at liberty even for those that have never worked with him. He was scared for the farrier tool box which sent him running through his stall. Which he had seen before so I was so confused. The farrier took him from me and worked with him doing his feet fine. He got to the last hoof and wanted to rasp it and my one year old c**t that had been farriered by the same farrier three other times took his foot away and he was hit with the handle part of the raspy three times in the butt once lower on the leg which shot him forward into the farrier wooden box. My c**t damaged it! The farrier cursed and said how he hated our horses then got a leather halter out with metal around the nose pice and yanked all over my poor c**t leaving marks! Once the farrier was done abusing my horses he threw his tools and fixed his box then left without payment or doing the rest of my horses. The farrier wouldn't speak to me. Instead ran over to someone that knows us and lied saying no one was here, no one was here to hold the horses and how my c**t kicked him, etc.

I am so over people that I want to get out of horses those I have fought so hard to get where I am at. I have well known broodmares a great stallion and stallion prospects. It's not worth being called a horse flipper and a liar over what actually happened with the farrier.

I really didn't want to write this but it has been eating away at me!

Just an FYI to some people.

We have been sending out horses to be trained because my fiance is un able to work with horses. As for me, I am going in for surgery soon and can not afford to be hurt incase something happens. I will be out for 3 to 4 months before I can work with horses again after surgery.

Xena was sent out for riding training cuz I thought I was going in for surgery sooner than I thought so I didn't take the time!

Khe To The Darkside DF was sent out because once again my fiance can not work with horses and I'm going in for surgery. I don't want to set my surgery back in case I may get hurt. Not saying I will it's a precaution. I have been hurt far in the past working with horses, tho those horses were dangerous that I worked with cuz that is my specialty is dangerous horses!

Yes, I am still a trainer and yes I will be training horses again. That won't be until sometime in 2025. Guess what I have another surgery lined up for 2025! So I'm only going to be working with OUR horses not outside horses until 2026. As long as my several jobs that I have allow for this!

Don't come at us for sending horses out. We are doing what is right by our horses! Stop saying our horses aren't trained or that we don't have rideable horses!

Please be advised that I have an oversight in my schedule. On Wednesday, we have a full day of activities, including a trip to Wrightwood for a horse camp, followed by a beach visit and a celebratory dinner for my daughter's 21st birthday.

On Thursday, I have a crucial business meeting and dinner with our superior in the evening, which occurs every week. Depending on the daytime temperatures, my equine-related activities may be affected.

Friday appears to be relatively free, while Saturday is dedicated to filming for the upcoming episode of The Horsemen's 411. This exemplifies the demanding nature of my schedule, leaving little room for downtime.

Regrettably, this hectic routine has hindered my ability to produce training videos. Whenever I find an opportunity to work with Ruby or other horses, I prioritize hands-on engagement over video creation. However, I recognize the importance of video content and am committed to rectifying this oversight.

After the mini vacation down to Palm Desert today until Tuesday. There are things around the ranch that needs to be attended to. Even if the excessive heat warnings aren't away things need to get done. Going to have to work in the later part of the evenings to get the several stalls put up. I have horses that need a serious grooming. I have a horse that we got back from training that I have never been on.

There is a lot of training that needs to be caught up on. Unfortunately with our busy schedule I am unsure how much training I can get in before surgery. I will know more on the surgery timing once I have my phone appointment with one of two of the surgeons at the end of this month. I am going to go about my days the best that I can weather and schedule permitted.

The excessive heat and the busy schedule has made it touch keeping up even going for evening trail rides and or just turning horses out and or grooming and working the horses. The summer is always a difficult time I always managed this year I'm not tolerating the heat like the years before. I'm going to do my best up until surgery day.

Once I can get back to working with the horses after surgery I will most definitely be doing so. I know several of the horses I have that I personally own will be sent out for training while I'm healing and after to help me get caught up because I'm seriously behind.

07/12/2024

The last time I was away from the Ranch I was on a business trip. This time it's our every other week Dr appointment time away tho for a while we stopped spending several days down in Palm Desert. We are back at it again and it has been fun!

This coming Sunday July 14th we will be heading to Palm Desert. Even tho my Dr's father passed away and my appointment was canceled we are still going down to get some time away. This helps me clear my mind and reset for being at the Ranch.

We will return on July 16th not before we go to Medieval Land in Norco for Taco Tuesday. It will be around 8/9 pm that we will be home. That's okay!

We still have several stalls to build. Hoping the excessive heat warning lifts so we can get to that. Today we were supposed to have a photoshoot away from home with the horses. My fiance and I were gonna dress up in our Ren Fair garb and get photos done for our website. Due to the heat it's been switched to another day.

Photo is of my Arab mare Aria. I know I don't look thrilled. Photo was taken on June 9th 2024.

Ruby

I don't recall if I worked with her on the 8th or 9th of July. I have been so busy I have had no time to keep up with training updates as I have them. No video again because I didn't think of it. The photo is from when we first got Ruby.

I was having a difficult time catching Ruby. I did not feel like lunging her. I just wanted to cover some basic groundwork with her to see what she might remember or know.

I tried several times during the day to catch her with no luck. Ruby is a difficult one to catch. She loves butt scratches. She isn't used to people just walking up to catch her.

The people that had her before us was an elderly woman who got her as a yearling I think she said for a companion for another horse they had. They never really did anything with her. She was well taken care of. Ruby is 9 years old. She was given to us!

Later in the evening around 5/6 pm. Friends came over that help us around the ranch. The one friend helped me catch Ruby. From there I was able to work with her.

I covered picking up her feet which is is really good at. Tho her feet are perfectly trimmed. I still checked. I also asked her to back up several different ways, she was sticky with the one way I asked so we worked on that. I also lead her around because she can be very pushy. I even had her following me around the round pen without me holding the lead rope, she stayed right with me.

Ruby seems to have a good foundation on her, however she doesn't tie. Maybe cross ties? I don't know. Ruby has NEVER been broke to ride. Has never had any foals.

Once this excessive heat warning goes away I was to get a full length video of me covering groundwork with her to see what she does and does not know so I am able to show her progression with training. I will however have to send her out for saddle training due to an up coming surgery that leaves me 3/4 moths without being able to work with the horses.

Ruby - half arabian / half quarter horse.

June 5th, 2024 Ruby was taken from a stall due to being a wood eater and eating halfway through a leg to her shelter and placed into the round pen for a temporary housing until we get our new stalls put up.

I decided to round pen Ruby to see what she knew. She goes around just fine. When you ask for change of direction she tries to run through you. It took me being louder and faster with my actions to get her to stop and go the other direction.

I focused our time with changing directions since going around wasn't a problem.

Photo of Ruby is the day she came to Viking Ranch. I have not been taking my phone with me when I go to work with Ruby to get updated photos. I haven't even thought about video unfortunately.

I have a business meeting to attend with my fiance for a company that Whyte Dragon Productions will be filming for. Yes, we are behind Whyte Dragon Productions and The Horsemen's 411. This is a meeting for something entirely different that we have been highered out for. We will be gone from Saturday to Sunday. Monday we won't be around until later in the day because we have filming to do for another interview for The Horsemen's 411.

07/04/2024

Despite the ongoing excessive heat warning, which is anticipated to be lifted on July 11th, equine training has been temporarily suspended due to the extreme temperatures. Regrettably, the evenings provide little respite from the heat. Living in such conditions without air conditioning significantly impacts productivity, as the intense heat leaves me depleted once the temperature finally drops.

Amidst these challenges, we continue to diligently work on our new series, "The Horsemen's 411." This project involves extensive travel throughout California, where we conduct interviews with various horse industry experts, ranging from business owners to trainers and breeders. Our YouTube channel, which will be provided in the description below, serves as a platform for sharing these informative discussions.

It is important to note that Whyte Dragon Productions, the entity behind "The Horsemen's 411," has expanded its scope beyond photography, stallion advertisements, and logo design. We are now actively engaged in a broader range of activities within the equine industry.

07/02/2024

These two lovely mares—Varsha, a Thoroughbred on the left, and Aria, an Arabian on the right—will serve as the foundation stock for my Knabstrupper breeding program. I have long desired to work with this breed, and while I initially did not intend to use Varsha for breeding, the realization that she could produce a Knabstrupper changed my mind.

In addition to breeding stock horses, I also breed Drum horses, Spanish Normandys, Draft Crosses, and warmbloods. Occasionally, I may have purebred Clydesdales and Percherons available. Furthermore, I am also engaged in breeding half Arabians and pure Arabians. My primary focus remains on my stock horses and drafts.

My breeding interests encompass jousting horses, dressage horses, cart horses, jumping horses, western pleasure horses, reiners, reining cow horses, and ranch horses.

I haven't posted about this girl. Her name is Ruby. She a Quarab we are suspecting. Not entirely sure. She is 9 years old with very little training. She is difficult to catch, pushy when being lead, ties, bathes, not sure if she picks up her feet, and she loads.

Ruby was given to us. She is not a purchase as some might think.

I worked with Ruby on June 27, 2024. I went into her stall. She is kept with a halter and lead on due to the difficulty of catching her. I know this isn't everyone's cup of tea, this is how we do things until the horse is familiar with us!

When I went in to work with Ruby she was very friendly towards me. If you do not keep a hold of her lead she will only give you her butt. Not because she is being disrespectful, because she loves butt scratches.

I tried to work on touch all over Ruby's body. She quickly got pushy with me. Blocking me with her shoulder and trying to go in front of me. I corrected the behavior by giving a firm tug on the lead, applying pressure to her nose and asking her to back up. Which she then decided it was a good idea to threaten to pop up into a rear and ran backwards away from the pressure. This isn't the type of behavior I'm asking for.

I tried again to touch her all over and she got pushy with me again. I applied pressure to the halter with a slight tug and asked her to back then disengage her hind end to keep her from popping up and this worked, because the next time she pushed into me a I gave her a tug and asked her to back she stopped on the tug, backed up when asked and I was able to disengage her hind end both directions and asked her to follow me and she did.

I was NOT expecting this kind of reaction so I didn't have video of my interaction with Ruby. From now on there will be video.

I haven't been posting a lot because we have mostly been busy filming for The Horsemens 411 and the excessive heat warnings have kept work at bay with the horses.

The photo is of my intact male donkey Jack.

I do not know when I will be back to doing training videos. I still have surgery coming up either in August - September - October time. I will know more in August on when. This is a long awaited surgery that I was hoping would take place during the spring. When it didn't it bummed me out. Things happen for a reason. I knew that summer was going to be the down time for training and I wanted it to be my healing time since my surgery is a 3 to 4 month heal time before I can get back to training and riding the horses. Now my heal time will be in fall/winter time when it is better for training. Oh well, life goes on.
