Choose a breeder responsibly!

It saddens me how many corners are cut when producing and raising the wonderful breed of French bulldogs. So many deceiving things out there.

Ask questions! Lots of them! Reputable breeders welcome that! It puts you on their “feel good” list about where their puppy is going!

Things to ask:
1. Do you health test?

2. Do you own both parents?
If not, do you know about the health and temperament of the dad?

3. Can you show me some adults that have been produced by these parents?

4. Are there any of the owners of your puppies that would be willing to talk to me about their pup and experience with you?

5. Can I see video of where you raise your puppies? Of mom? Can we FaceTime?

6. What do you focus on teaching puppies before they go home?

7. Are puppies exposed to many different sights and sounds or are they in a box in the corner of a quiet room somewhere?

8. Can I speak to your vet about their experience with you?

9. When do you vaccinate your puppies and what are your recommendations?

These are just a few important examples!

The proof is in the outcome! You will know a quality breeder that stands apart when you receive your puppy. Unfortunately, you will also know who isn’t and sometimes that’s just too late!

Ask the questions, do the research! Your forever new addition will thank you for it and be such a joy and blessing from day 1!!
