You think you want a bunny? All of this is hair and carpet debris from this tiny section under the couch. The vacuum was completely empty when I started, and I still need to empty it, finish another couple feet, and go over it a second time. Plus, that carpet damage though. 😅🥴

Our rescue Sun Village Animal Rescue acquired this beautiful girl on January 13th, 2024. We believe she is about 2-3. She is not spayed, and we are working towards getting her spayed. Currently in heat since the 19th. At this time, our rescue is struggling with funding during our renovations.

She is available for adoption at this time, but you must schedule her for a spay appointment to lock in your adoption. We will consider her “adoption fee” to simply be her spay surgery. We will not require any additional proceeds to go to our rescue/her adoption.

She is extremely quiet for a Great Pyrenees. She rarely fusses, only alerts when people walk in front of the house, and will stop when I quietly say "okay that's enough." Afterwards, she is very happy for performing her natural job. She has stopped people from stealing from our mailbox! She would love living somewhere she can roam, but seems to be perfectly happy somewhere smaller with a decent yard.

She chases cats but will not attack. She has not been trained with critters, and would need an experiencwd trainer if you ever hoped she could guard livestock. She LOVES cuddles, belly rubs, and all other dogs, big and small.

She sleeps in a crate at night and is not a picky eater. She will fuss in her crate for about 10 minutes, but this will pass with time. Her behavior improves daily, and we are teaching her basic commands.

Adoption comes with 3 free 1-hour training sessions you can redeem at any time for any issues that may crop up in your home.

We are so excited to announce that we have a new foster incoming! We plan to take in a young dog that was found wandering the desert, work with her, socialize her, train her, and find her a new home!

We will announce her on New Year’s Day (12/31/2023) around noon! If you want to know what her breed is early, you can pledge to our Patreon for only $1! All of your proceeds go towards our animal rescue, and will go toward her care for the time being! You can also pledge to suggest her name and have early access to the application* to adopt her!

Did you know that mental stimulation like sniffing games, hide and seek, and treat hiders also tire your dog out like exercise? Brain games are so important for your pup, especially a puppy. He may look like a big boy, but remember that Eru isn’t even 1 year old until January 16th. We love these little treat games so he can use his nose to find them and his brain to uncover them.

Hey everyone! These beautiful babies are looking for their new furever home. Due to some unforseen circumstances, their mama can no longer care for them while working 16 hour days.

The Great Dane is a merle female named Keona. She about a year and a half old. Not spayed. The boxer is a male named Blitz. Also about a year and a half old, neutered. Both have shots and are microchipped, she just needs to hunt down the paperwork.

Both pups are crate trained and potty trained. They rarely bark at home, are decent on a leash, and have no behavioral issues (no digging, chewing, marking.) They will only alert bark if someone comes into the house when it is dark. They both know basic commands sit, stay, come, etc.

Blitz is a bit of a reserved and shy boy, and Keona is a loving girl who loves to get crazy and play! Both pups are good with other dogs, cats, and children. They LOVE to cuddle.

Sun Village is offering 3 free 1hour training sessions (within a 20mile radius of Victorville) to the adopter for each pup. Rehoming fee is pending owner approval, but will likely not be more than $100. She would love to adopt them together but understands that may not be possible. They are very depressed and looking thin these days due to her long hours, so let’s get these babies into their furever home!

My name is Lisa. My partner, Grant, and I run 501c3 nonprofit animal rescue here in the high desert called Sun Village Animal Rescue. Unfortunately, our microchip order got delayed until December 26th. We were going to run a low-cost event this month on the 16th, but it's going to have to wait until January.

Hey everyone! We hope you are doing well during the holidays. We want to thank you so much for your patience during our little bout of silence. We’ve had a busy and hectic couple of months, from holidays and events, to deeply personal events like the loss of Grant’s uncle and the passing of our ferret Lutri. This has been a much needed break, these months and this summer.

That being said, there have been more animal dumps than ever, and it’s devastating to say the least. We received this email today about 6 heeler mix pups dumped on Palmdale in the High Desert. We have a few goals at this time, but finishing our shelter area is CRUCIAL before we can move forward. We also need funds before we can take in any new animals, as we want to be able to adequately provide for them.

That being said, we are going to do a little giveaway to help us get started. We are going to run a microchipping event locally as soon as we’re able, and we can put those funds towards finishing our fence around the shed, and getting it water sealed and temperature controlled for the winter (which is currently much more manageable for everyone than summer).

We regret to announce that our dearest stinky buddy has crossed the rainbow bridge. 🌈 We woke up yesterday and he had passed peacefully in his sleep, snuggled up in his favorite fluffy pajama pants. He had not been doing well all week and we sat down, gave him so much love and so many kisses. We prayed together that he would pass in the night so he did not have to endure a cold and foreign vet’s office and pain should we need to take him in to be put to sleep.

We adopted Lutri in April 2020 from my best friend’s cousin. She wanted to rehome him because he was so much more aloof than her little stinker, and she didn’t want him to be bullied. He was our very first ferret, and it has been an honor to know him. We are so grateful to have had him in our lives, however short, and he taught us so much about our capacity for patience and love.

Thank you everyone who donated towards his care when he was diagnosed with insulinoma. You gave us 9 more incredible months with our special boy, and aided in those months being happier and healthier for him as he slowed down. He was such a tired old boy, and we’re happy he no longer has to endure his yucky medication ever again.

Though having many animals means having a greater deal of consistent heartbreak and loss, we cannot imagine our lives without all of our babies. Here’s to many more years of love, sorrow, laughter, and tears. We would not have it any other way. ☀️

Chihuahua, terrier, Shih Tzu puppies available out of Florida in 6-8 weeks.

Vet tech Lisa is caring for a litter of puppies right now that will need homes when they are fully weaned and socialized. She’s moving there, so they will be with her at her new house.

They will come fully vaccinated, and I’m sure you could discuss chipping with her. More information to come.
