It has been a long time since we have updated this page. Many things have changed! We no longer have any farm animals 😔 this was not an easy decision, but the goats could not be contained, the horses needed pasture rather than life under trees with no forage, and the birds were infected with an incurable respiratory virus. We look forward to rebuilding soon, starting off small of course! Hope everyone is doing well!

We have been keeping busy! I am happy to report that the dogs are finally fenced in and hopefully will not be causing anyone concern being near the road. The goats are 90% contained (Pippi still thinks she's a Pyrenees). Now to run fencing for horses, and get to work improving coops, and building horse stalls.

If anyone happens to have seen our Pippi goat early this morning on North Helton Rd. Please let us know! We are worried sick! We brought the dogs inside to keep them from going towards the road during morning traffic, and our cameras show her walking toward it a short time after. We have looked everywhere 😭

Congratulations to our employee of the month! We aren't quite sure how she manages to take care of everyone and have a life, but we are sending her on an all expenses paid trip to the beach of her choice! Yea right! You're looking at the only employee here, unless you count the kids. Who else is ready for warmer weather? If you're like me, it's more work to leave than it is so stay at home. Our Story

It all started with the desire to hear a rooster crowing every morning. Unfortunately sometimes neighbors do not agree with that sentiment. When that happens, and you want it badly enough, you sell your home, and buy your forever home on 10 acres! What started as a means of revenge for a silly argument with the husband; a stop at Tractor Supply during their “Chick Days”, ended up becoming a hobby, and now, a lifestyle. Welcome to Pennington Acres! We are a small family hobby farm in West Georgia. We specialize in Silkies, but our love of animals does not end there. Our home is also home to 30+ (if I don’t know exactly how many there are, nor will the boss man) laying hens of various breeds (all have names), Guinea Fowl (Mr & Mrs Guinea), the “Quack pack” (Rouen and Pekin ducks), a goat family (Pixie, Parker, and Podrick), a Pony named Simba, and of course, our cats and dogs.

We would love the opportunity to help fuel the next person’s love/addiction, or to supply you with fresh eggs from happy chickens, that will undoubtedly greet you at your vehicle when you arrive :)
