The precious goat kids got disbudded today by the amazing Autumn! She disbudded 7 out of 10. The other 3 are possibly polled. They didn't take it too badly but it was still hard on them and me 💔🐐❤️

Had a great helper on the farm today! Beau got to pet Graham, helped feed the animals, and did a great job socializing the piglets ❤️ He even helped me carry arm loads of hay to the hay feeders! All while his dad and granddad spent their Saturday helping to make progress around the farm. There are truly good people out there who are willing to help their neighbors selflessly and out of pure kindness. Helps restore my faith during a time when the world just seems cruel and unrelenting. Also inspires me to show kindness to others just as they have done for me.

We love Key Foundation, Inc. , everything they do, and their wonderful, kind people!! We especially loved getting to see everyone today when we dropped off llama prizes for their Olympics games 💗

Devastating is an understatement. We left town on a 2 week trip to Yellowstone, and on the 3rd day of the trip, our house burned to the ground in the middle of the night during a thunderstorm. We are overwhelmed by the generosity of the community. Now we are trying to get electricity at the farm via temporary power poles so we can use our well to get fresh clean water to our llamas, goats, and other animals. Our farm sitter graciously set up a go fund me for us so we can better manage immediate expenses. If you would like to send help our way, we would greatly appreciate it. Found this in my memories from 4 years ago. Ezra shoveled all of the llama poop himself and was in the process of moving it up near the house to put on our plants ❤️. He (now 11) is still an amazing helper! He doesn't even weigh 80 lbs and is now lifting and moving 50 lb bags of feed on his own. I feel like the luckiest person in the world to have him in my life. Seeing the house in the background tears me to pieces, though. Life just isn't fair sometimes, but there's not much else to do besides take what we are dealt and do the best we can with it. And remember to always be thankful for the people, animals, and things we do have in our lives in the present rather than dwelling on negative things that have happened to us in the past. #hardworker #thankful #keeppushing
