Brin found her forever home 🤍
We have to say that these kids have been raised right! How awesome is it that Kyleigh, Landyn, and McKynlee used their allowance money to buy dog and cat food for the shelter pets. True acts of kindness right here. If you are reading this, use these kiddos example to pay it forward, no matter what charity you choose. ❤️
Ace has found his forever home today 🐾🤍
Are you in need of a sidekick that will tag along with you on every inventure?
If you said yes to that question, Bronco is the perfect match 🐾 Bronco is a 6 month old husky mix weighing around 55 pounds. He enjoys participating in any fun that is happening around him, going on walks/runs, and most of all being by your side 24/7. He does very well with children, other dogs/cats, and especially humans. Bronco knows basic command and keeps his kennel clean which is a good sign of being house broken. If Bronco would be joining a household with another pup we would love to set up a meet and greet! With that being said if you want an endless amount of love and someone that will stick by your side come to the shelter and ask to meet Bronco 🤍
Meet Wyonna 💗🐾
Some of you may have seen her on your feed awhile back due to her unseen circumstances. Wyonna was rescued on May 2nd after making her way from Sullivan to Freelandville in less than two days. Wyonna is a 5 year old german short haired pointer mix weighing around 70 pounds. She needs a home/family that is willing to take their time to get to know her and her personality, as well as accommodate all of her needs. Wyonna does have a trait of food guarding, with that being said she needs an owner that has knowledge and experience in this type of behavior. Don’t let that turn your heads on her though because she is a very intelligent and sweet girl. Wyonna knows sit, shake, lay down, and she absolutely loves water. She would make a great fit for a family out in the country. After getting to know her you will learn she is just a dog looking for the best fit of an owner that will give her all the cuddles and attention she wants.
VAS is having a bursting at the seams adoption special! Currently, we are operating past capacity and need to get some fur babies with their forever families. If you have considered adopting, please come in and see us. All adult dogs and cats will have a reduced adoption fee of $25 until the end of June. Included in this adoption fee is the spay neuter, vaccinations, microchip, and flea prevention. Please come see us to find your next family member! Vet references required.
Family Duo ✨ Everyone meet Midnight & Rugar!
You may have seen them posted on here in the past but these two very special dogs are still waiting on their forever homes. Midnight and Rugar along with two others were brought in together on October 28, 2023 due to the passing of their owner. While two have found their homes, two are still searching.
Midnight is a 6 year old female shepherd mix weighing around 50 pounds. She enjoys spending time outside playing, going on walks, and receiving attention.
Rugar is a 8 year old male mixed breed weighing around 50 pounds that absolutely loves his stuffies. He is a lazy but somewhat active old man that likes to spend time outside especially when the weather is nice, so he can lay out and sun bathe.
They both keep their kennel very neat and clean, which is a good sign of being house broken. Both are looking for a home with no cats and owners that can give them love and attention they deserve. If there will be other pups in the home we would love to set up a meet and greet with him or her before hand.
242… that is the number of days they have been hopeful that a human walks through these doors and doesn’t overlook them. If you think one of these amazing dogs would make a great addition to your life come out to the shelter and ask to meet them! Midnight and Rugar’s adoption fee has been sponsored upon approved adoption.

Our girl June has neurological problems. Today she got a cheeseburger. June will be looking for a home with someone who is willing to take care of her special needs. 🩷
Wanna meet a special girl. Her name is June she is about 6 years old. She is house broke. She does have something that makes her special. She wobbles but loves life and wants to meet every human. She is so sweet. She is low energy but she is definitely a special needs dog who may take a little more effort. She loves to just lay around. Here is a video of her. Would do better with someone who is home all the time. This is a true rescue. Applications will be taken and reviewed. Junes new forever home will be selected based on best fit, not first come first serve.
