JET UPDATE:

Jet has been progressing with his training very well. With the Christmas holiday approaching, shopping has been an every day activity and he is handling it like a champ. Today’s outing was EXTREMELY testing with people crunched so close together, we even got anxious. He may or may not have came in handy with calming our own anxiety today even though that’s not his primary task he is being trained for. This young pup is kicking butt.

At Joint Base MDL, military dogs like Erika serve in patrol and protection, while therapy dogs bring comfort and calm to service members.

Jet is well on his way to becoming a fully trained service dog for a VERY special lady! Yesterday he went Christmas shopping with us and did extremely well. Some of the stores were pretty busy and he paid them no mind. Even had a VERY YAPPY “service dog” in one store and he just laid down while we looked at gifts. He is a very good dog and we are extremely grateful for Bodnar Grateful dog for this guy. We can’t thank Marek Bodnar for this guy enough.

Big day of training and testing for Jet. First we went out to the military base and supported the amazing group Pawsitve Therapy, then we went to kingsroadbrewing for a delicious drink and then lastly went to Rustic Grille for dinner. Jet did amazing nobody even knew a dog was with us until we would walk out to leave. He’s going to be great!!

Jet passed one of the first of many tests to come to being a service animal. Having children in the house, the dog must be ok with hands coming close to the food. Well done Jet.

I’d like to introduce everyone to Cito aka Jet. Jet is from the Bodn’ar Gratefuldog Kennel bred by Marek Bodnar. This amazing dog is a VERY special project of mine as he will be a service dog for the most wonderful woman to ever walk this earth, my mom. This would not be possible without my sidekick Theresa Navarra. She is going to be pivotal in his success.

Man what a crazy month its been. We are so glad to finally have nice weather. These past few weeks have had us feeling like this guy. We hope everyone was able to get out and enjoy the sun. And as for the rain 😝.

So I guess this is allowed now? We just walk through a grocery store with our dogs off leash wondering around. When I come in with my German Shepherd I better not hear a word. This is why it’s so hard for people to with a REAL service dog to do what is needed. This is completely unacceptable and the family AND Shoprite should be ashamed. Unbelievable!
