Available last minute - female chesapeake puppy, ready to go June 19. Parents are AM GCH, Can CH* Redlion's What Do You Think, SH, WDX, RATO, BCAT, FTN, DS and Mtn Island Redlion Texas Toast (mother is CH/QAA). Ggggrrrr So the guy in Maine has know for 4 months the due date, then the birth, so for more than 2 months knew exactly when to come get his puppy. He was soooo particular, dropped "big names" in the breed, hunts all the time and co-owner wants to breed also. Well now he tells me he has things he wants to do and can't come get the puppy and wants to me hold it a few weeks. Well, that isn't happening at this point. So he decides he won't take the puppy. Guess he really didn't want a quality puppy very much like he said. And he had just talked abut "giving his word" and be dependable. oh well, I guess not dependable either.

Chocolate Labs outside a bit today! They have voices now. 3.5 weeks old.

These little chocolate Labs have not found their voices yet at 2.5 weeks old. Walking around and playing with each other but are pretty quiet so far. Sire is GCHB*, UKC BIS GCH*, Seminary Ridge’s Last Call CD, RA, JH TKI, CGC WC and mom is Redlion's Playtime Piper. She is a wonderful family dog with Lisa Tricocci. Both have many health clearances with complete info listed on redlionkennel website. Jimmy was a Top 20 dog at both the Potomac and the LRC National -That year he was #16 Breed and #8 All-Breed.) He was the People’s Choice Award at the National. This is a repeat breeding that produced "Rummy" owned by Bunny Adair Beattie Toddes . Memorial Weekend at Freehold NJ shows. Too much walking but oh what fun the dogs and I had. On Thursday Please the yellow Lab won Winners Bitch and Best of Breed and Monday Reserve WB. Sunday Daisy the golden made the cut in a large Open Bitch class. Thinker did performance events! He ran 3 days in Fast Cat, finishing his BCAT title On Thursday. His best times ranged from 8.06 to 8.24 with the best at 25.38 mph. Thinker tried dock diving and after 2 jumps decided it was a lot of fun and in two days with five passes he got his Dock Diving Senior (DS) title. His longest jump was 17’ 6”. Saturday was an interesting day with Dr Morgan Agnew at the Philadelphia Animal Hospital. For two weeks my chocolate lab Piper was trying to go into labor way too early. With exceptional care and monitoring by Dr Morgan Piper held out till her due date. She was on artificial progesterone and an anti-contraction medicine and it all worked. I was able to be in the room for the surgery, helping a bit with drying pups and string on the cords. The girls assisting were wonderful to be around and great at what they do. Nine chocolate pups all in their little blankets at 15 minutes old! A few available too. This is a repeat breeding of the fabulous "Jimmy" listed on my stud dog page and my girl Piper. "Rummy" is from the previous litter and is excelling now in field training and a was in his first show already. GCHB*, UKC BIS GCH*, Seminary Ridge’s Last Call CD, RA, JH TKI, CGC WC and Redlion's Playtime Piper. All health clearances listed on the website.

Thank You to all the people who have adopted cats from us and given them a chance at a Great Family Life! Are new website will keep you up to date on what Lucky Cats is doing, raffle tickets and other fund raisers we are working on, and cats/kittens we have available for adoption. Tail Waggin Barn Hunt Trials. Thinker completed 3 Open Trials to gain his Rat Open Title. He is really dedicated and has moved right through two titles in two weekends. Such a sweet fun boy to have by my side. He also ran in two Crazy 8 trials and garnered 70 points. I attached photos of the Crazy 8 setup from Sunday. The dog has two minutes to find as many rats as possible. You can see the tubes with rats in laying near the bales of straw, waiting to be planted.

Navesink Hunting Retriever Club Hunt test this past weekend in NJ. Leighann Barnes ran the two dogs for us. (I was at rat trials and Matt was on his senior trip). Redlion's Come Back Boing got her 3rd JH leg (owners Leighann and Jane) and Redlion's Tucker II completed his JH title! Owners Monica and Matt Mellon. A beautiful day for the dogs. Tucker's parents are Barret x Ringer. Boing is from Barret x Poppy.

NEWS: 3-24-24 Tail Waggin Barn Hunt Trial, Robbinsville, NJ. Thinker completes 3 Novice tests to get his Barn Hunt Novice Title (BN) He did in in style with two First Places in the class and a 2nd place with the fastest times of 49.9 seconds, 38, and 1.06 seconds. He's got lots of energy and prey drive and loves the game. There are rats in a tube, hidden in the straw and the dog has to find them. It's one rat, go through a tunnel and climb on top of straw bales to get one completion in the allotted time of 2 minutes. Get three completed trials to get a BN title. He is now AM CH, Can CH* Redlion's What Do You Think, CBPIG, SH, WDX, BN

Georgia, March 23 & 24. Lois Munroe, my trainer from NH, who is doing winter training in GA ran dogs in the Fall Line Hunt Test. Her 3 Senior entries and 6 Junior entries all completed their tests on both days! What a great weekend. This included my little chesapeake girl, Boing, 16 months old. So she has 2 legs towards JH title. Thanks Lois for your great care and training of our dogs.

My twin sister Jean Gilmore – I wanted to take a moment and express how very proud I am of her and her friend Tina Unger. They both live in New Bethlehem in western PA. For the last 3 years Jean and Tina have dedicated themselves to helping stop the over-population of Cats in their county using TNR (Trap, Neuter and Return). Together they started a non-profit organization call Lucky Cats Get N Fixed. What an undertaking. After thousands of hours, miles on their vehicles and money out of their own pockets, they now have a great organization in place. I’m now joining in and have dedicated extra time and effort also to help them reach their goals and have made them a website to help in getting the word out there. I’ll be posting info periodically in hopes of finding others who might want to volunteer now and then to a worthy cause. Check out www.luckycatsgetnfixed.com The big news is their big fundraiser for the Cats is happening in Clarion, PA, March 16, with a Beer, Wine and Shine Festival. Breweries, Wineries and Distilleries will be setup for tasting at the Clarion Mall, along with 25+ crafters for shopping, door prizes, and much more. Cute Kitty T-shirts are available which help out a lot to cover the spay/neutering and other Vet bills for the cats they are helping. Tickets on sale at many local stores or On-Line! The website overs a great Donation page with many ways to help, whether it’s kitty litter, coupons you can mail Jean for cat food, helping to drive a few cats to the spay clinic or foster a couple of kitties for a few days.
