We'll be grilling hamburgers, hotdogs, and brats (vegan options available)! We'll also have a baked goods sale for those with a sweet tooth! See you there!!!

GOOD MEWS MONDAY!!!

1. Miss Kitty
2. Budgie

Miss Kitty came to ARC when her caregiver passed away. She was scared and confused when she first got to ARC, but it didn’t take long for her to show us what a sweet girl she is! She met her family at PetSmart and now she gets to have another loving family and kitty siblings that will help her transition to the next chapter in her life!

Budgie came to ARC with her sisters, Robin, Birdie and Dove (Robin and Dove are still available!), as kittens and went straight into foster. As soon as they were ready for adoption, they came to ARC and then to PetSmart. Budgie is probably the most affectionate of the litter and laid it on thick when she met her family at PetSmart! They will give her the love and attention she needs, and in return, she’ll be the most lovable and cuddly kitty!

Congrats to our two kitties that went home! Miss Kitty and Budgie we are so happy for you and thankful that your forever family picked YOU! Enjoy your happurrly ever after!!!

Our foster homes are a critical aspect of our mission to save lives and provide homeless animals with the appropriate care they need while they are with us. Fostering kittens, cats and dogs allows us to take in more homeless animals that need us! If you are interested in becoming a part of our wonderful, life-saving foster network, please don’t hesitate to reach out, we will provide any necessary training, supplies, etc. to help you and your foster pets be successful!

Also, a large number of cats take in come in as a result of our TNR program. This is another key component to helping stray and community kitties have a better life, even if they are not fit for adoption, just being spayed/neutered and vaccinated makes life as a community cat much safer for them. FOSTERING AND TRAPPING SAVES LIVES and WE NEED YOUR HELP!!! If you are interested in fostering and/or joining our TNR team, please reach out to us!

GOOD MEWS MONDAY!!!

1. Minka

3. Ivan

Minka was found as an orphaned kitten on a kind person’s porch, luckily, they were able to foster her until she was ready for adoption. They did an amazing job with this little girl!!! She loves people of all ages… and dogs! Her new family met her at PetSmart and fell in love! She gets to enjoy having two young human siblings, loving human parents… and maybe down the road a new dog sibling!

Faith was rescued from an abandoned building with several other cats. She was the last of her group to find a forever home because she struggled with what we eventually learned was asthma. Her new mom discovered her while looking for a companion kitty for her current asthmatic cat! A great match and purrfect home for Faith! She is enjoying a loving home, a great kitty friend and a human that knows exactly how to help her stay healthy and happy!

Ivan was brought into ARC’s foster program when he and his siblings were found outside and without a momma. They were young and not in great shape, but luckily we have some wonderful foster homes, and they hit the jackpot! After lots of TLC, Ivan was ready for adoption and boy did he let his purrsonality shine! He hooked his new family at PetSmart and they closed the deal! He’s going to enjoy getting all the love and attention he could want!

Congrats to our three kitties that went home! Minka, Faith and Ivan we are so happy for you and thankful that your forever family picked YOU! Enjoy your happurrly ever after!!!

GOOD MEWS MONDAY!!!

Fog and Smoke were born in an ARC foster home to beautiful Godiva (recently adopted!). They grew up quickly and as soon as they were ready for adoption, off to PetSmart they went! It didn’t take long for their new family to see them and fall in love! This is another lucky adopter who knew that two kittens are better than one! Now these two sisters get to spend their life together, just like they have since they were born!

Alley was another kitten that found herself (and her siblings) in an ARC foster home. She grew into a beautiful girl with a very unique coat pattern that caught the attention of her family! Once they met her in purrson, it was a done deal! Her beauty lured them in and her purrsonality sealed the deal!!! Alley has two gorgeous kitty siblings now and a wonderful, loving human family.

Bowie and Ziggy, Alley’s brothers, got the chance to go to PetSmart to show off and steal the spotlight from all the other kitties! Good thing they weren’t there very long! Their family saw them and knew they had to be part of their home. These two are another lucky kitten pair that get to spend the rest of their lives together!

Scottie was found abandoned and alone, so he made his way into the ARC program. He didn’t have time for foster or PetSmart, his family saw him online and knew he would be the next member of their family (ARC alumni to boot!). He stole their hearts, just like he did with the ARC staff and volunteers, and now he will never be alone again with five kitty siblings and a lovely human family!

Birdie came to ARC with her sisters, Robin, Budgie and Dove (all still available), as kittens and went straight into foster. As soon as they were ready for adoption, they came to ARC and then to PetSmart. Birdie is quite the character and didn’t hold back when her mom came to ARC to meet kitties, looking for the next member of their family. With all our wonderful kitties, they had a tough decision, but Birdie stood out and is now living a wonderful life with her new family!

Kansas City, Missouri's KC Pet Project, an animal rescue, shared a photo of Binx, the 6-week-old kitten, who they declared "the most responsible kitten in the world." The rescue cares for over 10,000 animals a year, and they are seeing an uptick in desperate kittens as Spring Kitten Season

Is washing your car on your "to do" or "honey do" list?!! Let us wash it for you!!! We are holding a car wash fundraiser next Saturday, September 14th, at the 5-Star Food and Marathon Gas Station in Vine Grove (corner of Joe Prather and Highland Ave). We'll be there from 1pm to 5pm, car washes are by donation and we can also answer questions about adoptions, sponsorship, and more!
