Today our spotlight employee is Carol✨Office Management and Veterinary Technician~
Carol's education is two-fold, having both an Associates Degree in Veterinary Science and a Bachelor's Degree in Biology. Carol has been a member of East Oak Animal Hospital for 45 years. AMAZING. Carol began her journey at East Oak Animal Hospital as a veterinary technician. Later on, Carol transitioned her role to office management. Carol works behind the scenes helping to manage the business and safety aspect of the veterinary office. Carol and her husband have a small farm where they enjoy raising steer and chickens. Carol also has six cats, Lucy, Frankie, CiCi, Sammy, Graycie, and Emmet!

Many of our clients have noticed our tank up front that housed our turtle 🐢 Fred is empty. Fred outgrew his environment at East Oak and has found a wonderful new home where he can enjoy sun and fun with other turtles like himself❤️ While we will miss Fred, we are excited that he has begun his new journey living his best turtle life!

Today our spotlight employee is Sierra✨She is a Lead Surgical Supervisor and Certified Veterinary Technician!
Sierra graduated from Camden County College from the Veterinary Technician Program in 2015 with an Associates Degree in Animal Science and then sat for her Veterinary Technician National Exam in 2020. Sierra has also been a member of East Oak Animal Hospital since graduating in 2015. Currently, Sierra is the lead technician in surgery, assisting on various surgeries and procedures, while also maintaining nursing care to our patients staying in the hospital for medical reasons. She also plays a role in overseeing the surgical staff and.......She also maintains our laboratory, doing weekly and daily maintenance. ......Sierra is "fur" mama to a cat named Stuart. Sierra, along with her husband, also have various reptiles including: 2 snakes, 3 Crested Geckos, a Leopard Gecko, an Emerald Green Tree Skink, and a Uromastyx. They are both true reptile enthusiasts! On her free time, Sierra is an avid book reader, enjoys walks in the park, listening to music, fishing, kayaking, and going to the beach. Sierra understands that your pets bring so much joy to your everyday life. Her daily goal is providing excellent nursing care to each and every pet that walks through the doors of East Oak Animal Hospital.

Here at East Oak..we would like to introduce you to our amazing staff who work hard each day to help make your experience brighter. Each week throughout the summer we will be spotlighting the wonderful professional staff at East Oak. Today, we would like to highlight Debbie, the glue that holds all the pieces together day by day in our hospital! Hospital Administrator and a Veterinary Technician!

Debbie is a South Jersey native and a VERY familiar face at East Oak Animal Hospital. Debbie graduated from Camden County College and earned her Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology in 1984. Debbie sat for her Veterinary Technician National Exam in 1998. Debbie has been with East Oak Animal Hospital since 1990...WOW. Debbie oversees the daily operations of the hospital, making sure every aspect is running smoothly. Debbie is heavily involved in client interaction and plays a HUGE role in making sure that our customers and their pets get the VERY best care at East Oak. Every corner you turn at East Oak, Debbie's imprint can be seen in ensuring that our hospital is maintaining high quality standards and top notch service to meet the needs of our East Oak community. Since 2011, Debbie has also been a premium service usher for the Phildalphia Phillies. Debbie has 3 children and 3 grandchildren. She is also "fur" mama to her sweet cat, Penny. Being a season ticketholder, on her down time, Debbie and her husband enjoy tailgating at the Philadelphia Eagles games...GO BIRDS! 🦅

Sunny is displaying our new nice and naughty board for our feline patients. If you would like your cat to be displayed on our nice and naughty board, just submit a picture to Vanessa next time you are in the office. Make sure to write your cat’s name on the back of the picture along with the reason WHY they were nice or naughty. Our first two entries will be displayed next week on Facebook! Our hospital cat, Sunny, is definitely a little bit of both✨
