PRAYING FOR SOUTH JERSEY OFFICER BRUTALLY ATTACKED SUNDAY NIGHT.
NJ State PBA President Peter Andreyev joins NJ FOP President Bob Fox in asking for prayers for the wounded Camden Metro police officer stabbed in the neck last night. "This horrific ambush attack has left an officer critically injured. We are asking for everyone to take a minute to pray for this officer and his recovery," said Andreyev. He added, "The danger officers face is constant, we need the publics' support and an end to violence against police."

Man Charged for Stabbing Camden County Police Officer

Camden, NJ - A Sicklerville man has been arrested and charged for stabbing a police officer in Camden, reported Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez.
On Sunday, February 23, 2025, at approximately 5:54 p.m., a Camden County Police Department officer was stabbed during an unprovoked assault while conducting a business check in the area of Broadway and Chestnut Street in Camden. The officer was transported to Cooper University Hospital and is currently in critical, but stable condition. The suspect – identified as Richard Dennis, 38, of Sicklerville, NJ – was apprehended minutes later in the area of South 7th Street and Kaighn Avenue. As a result of an investigation by detectives from the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and Camden County Police Department, Dennis was charged with the following offenses:
•1st-degree Attempted Murder
•3rd-degree Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon
•3rd-degree Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer
•3rd-degee Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose
•4th-degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon
Dennis will be remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility, pending a detention hearing.
