For kittens like Bubbie who would be dead had we not pulled his litter from a euthanasia list in NC. The joy that it brings watching these babies thrive is what keeps us going. Bubbie found the Amazon box full of balls that we’ve been using as a ball pit. He was absolutely thrilled having so many balls to play with. Watching how happy he was makes everything worth while.

Bottle time is our favorite time!! This is one of the 4 brought to us yesterday on deaths door. Sadly 2 of the white babies did pass yesterday, but this little boy and his tabby brother are doing amazing! They are eating and playing like they weren’t just trying to die 24 hours ago! We need to get him in for X-Rays ASAP to find out what’s going on and how to fix it. Exam and X-Rays are going to run $250 If he needs an amputation, it’s going to run $1,500-$2,000. Judging by his injuries, we believe he is the victim of abuse. His burns look to be from cigarettes, his top k9 tooth has been broken inwards, he’s used to human contact but yet fearful when a hand comes near him. Please help us show this little man some love! Everyone thinks I’m joking when I say if Bubbie wants something, he will find a way to get it. He can barely walk but this little menace climbed up in the chair with me and proceeded to eat all the tuna sandwich he wanted today at lunch. When he puts his mind to something, there’s no changing it! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Wobblers is NOT a death sentence! Bubbie doesn’t know he’s different. Meet Ellie Mae. Ellie Mae is a very special little girl. She has a very severe case of cerebellar hypoplasia. She is also the result of inbreeding, causing severe neurological deficits. We are spending out a PCR test to rule out toxoplasmosis but she has no other symptoms. Watching this poor baby shake like this is absolutely heartbreaking. Starr, our feral little calico also loves Churus! She will only come close if you’re giving out Churus. Any other time she runs if you get close. Starr has been with us since January. I can count on one hand the number of times she has allowed me to touch her. She’s a great big sister. She loves all the babies, she just doesn’t like people, making her unadoptable. Starr will remain with the rescue for as long as she needs to become friendly, or live her life as an inside feral.
