Diane has studied, experienced and worked so hard to help her own pets as well as others learn to enjoy and live more peaceful and happy lives! I highly recommend her for any behavioral or training services 🐶🐾☮️❤️

Chicken and I are headed to the vet today for some booster shots. Chicken is also semi ferral and scared of everything. So I blocked out extra time to help her with some adjustment breaks along the way. Here she is just sitting in the car in the driveway. I wanted to wait until she looked like she was enjoying being pet, could take food, and started to get curious about things in the car instead of just being shut down. Then I decided we would head to the vet. When we get there, we will likely sit in the parking lot again and let her calm down a little from the ride. Typically she is so scared in the car that she 💩. Poor sweet Chicken. Because we know that stressful events “stack” and build upon each other, I like to take the time to bring her stress levels down as much as I can before we progress. Is it still going to be stressful for her? Absolutely. Will she still p**p in the car? Maybe. But the hope is that each step is slightly more manageable than if I had just totally flooded her. It’s so important to remember that your dog isn’t giving you a hard time, they are having a hard time. Anything I can reasonably do to make that time easier for her, I’ll do it.

May the 4th be with you!🐾💟 These babies all know how to use that "old Jedi mind trick" to get me to do their bidding😉 There is some serious focus and concentration going on here. My little ol' brain doesn't stand a chance with these faces. My will is not my own😍 Feel free to share pictures of your little Jedi using their skills!

Welcome to these two lovelies🥰 Linx, the little kitten and Murphy, the golden are recent additions to the Wizard of PAWS family and I'm so excited to be a part of their world😁 Murphy is ready for play at any given moment and is a joy to have as a walking buddy. Linx was a little bit shy at first, but her playful spirit relaxed her fears and after a few visits, she decided to come out for some fun and even some loves!! Turns out, she purrs like a freight train😄 ❤️💗💞

It's National Puppy Day!! It's a perfect time to welcome Kali as the newest and youngest member of the Wizard of PAWS family🎉♥️🤗💘. She's a nearly 5 month old Australian Cattle Dog so you know she is keeping her family on their toes💕😁. She joins her new parents along with big brother, Bentley, a mini schnauzer and feline friend, Zelda. Welcome little Kali!!

Not something any of us wants to think about, but it's important to be aware of the toxins that are our pets may be exposed to on a daily basis. With spring quickly approaching, there will be many new plants popping up indoors and outdoors. Please consult with your veterinarian and conduct some research if you are uncertain about specific items.

March is Pet Poison Awareness Month! Making sure your pet doesn’t have access to certain foods, plants and of course pesticides is key to helping keep them safe and healthy! If you suspect your pet has injected something toxic call your vet or the ASPCA Poison Control Center immediately!

I LOVE this post on dog enrichment which also includes a link to cat enrichment. It is quite lengthy but very comprehensive and would be a useful bookmark as a resource. Enrichment is so beneficial to our pet's physical, mental and emotional health and has the added benefit of strengthening the bond between you. Be sure to scroll to the bottom for an explanation of why enrichment is so important to our animal family. One of the things I also like about the article are the safety tips and pointers on choosing the appropriate type of enrichment.
