Spotlight on Selena: A Rising Star at Ellis Equestrian
Meet Selena, one of the most enthusiastic and dedicated young riders at Ellis Equestrian. From the moment she joined our team, Selena has made a remarkable impact. Known for her positive attitude and willingness to help others, she is always the first to step up when needed, tackling every task with a smile.
Though she hasn’t been with us for a long time, Selena has shown exceptional commitment and hard work. Her partnership with Hermione has blossomed, allowing her to enhance her riding skills significantly. With an impressive drive for success, she has improved her equitation and deepened her understanding of horse function, enabling her to work her horse to its fullest potential.
As we look forward to the upcoming show season, we are excited to witness Selena’s continued growth and accomplishments. Her journey at Ellis Equestrian is just beginning, and we can’t wait to see where it takes her!

We are thrilled to announce that on September 7, 2024, Ellis Equestrian proudly hosted its inaugural horse show, officially rated by VBHSA and VHSA. This event was a fantastic experience for our entire Ellis Equestrian family and equestrian enthusiasts alike!
After months of dedicated preparation, we were excited to welcome participants and spectators to a day filled with skill, camaraderie, and the love of horses. Whether you were competing or cheering from the sidelines, the day wouldn’t have been the same without you.
A big thank you to our clients and young riders for stepping up to help with the setup and for the countless hours spent making sure everything was perfect on the day of the show. Although the setup was not as we initially envisioned, we came together as a team and made it work seamlessly.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to making this horse show a success. A special thank you to Roseoldian Farm for generously allowing us to use their facility and for their invaluable assistance throughout the event.

🎉🎂 Big Happy Birthday to Maya! 🎂🎉
This week, we're shining the spotlight on our amazing student, Maya, who has been riding with us for four years! From the very beginning, Maya has shown incredible dedication and passion for riding.

She’s not just a talented rider but also a fantastic role model for our younger students. Always eager to help out, Maya embodies the spirit of teamwork and encouragement. If she could live at the barn, she definitely would!

Maya takes her riding seriously and is continuously striving to improve her skills. She embraces constructive criticism and uses it to grow, always coming back stronger and more skilled with each ride. We can’t wait to see where her riding journey takes her next!

October 10 will always be a significant day for Ellis Equestrian Services. It’s the day when our biggest supporter (Jeanette, Mom, and Granny) passed and went to a better place. It is a day that our farm will always cherish and celebrate her life. Without her push, support, and nurturing we would not have developed into the barn we are today. We can truly say she would be proud of all of our barn’s success. Thank you for always being a part of our journey even if it’s from afar. You will always be loved and missed, but we hope heaven is treating you well. Rest Easy!
