Started my tank with dirt, artificial dirt balls, sand and leaves from the garden already dried. Left without filter for a month (8 Oct 2024) bacteria multiplied
Then added filter ( 13 nov)
Only wrang out filter wool last week! Not washed under tap
Only fill tank every week, with tap water and vitamin C tablet( gets rid of things in water
Never cleaned glass, snails do that!
Feed one catfish tablet a week
Basic filter, heater and lights.
Have 3 small shrimp,2 vampire shrimps, 8 cardinal tetras,4 coryodoras cat fish
I'm leaving the plants to find there own way and never enter the tank accept to change filter wool ( done once since set up)
Done no chemical tests ( nature is solving all problems so far.

Here's the newest member of or crew... WHAT SHOULD WE NAME HIM!?!

Backstory.. His military family was moving and couldn't take him. We decided to foster him until we found him a new home. He came and fit right in with ours, so he'll be here forever now.. We are currently working in getting him a better enclosure to fit his needs.
