Captain Jack Sparrow Needs Donations
Captain Jack Sparrow found himself in a shelter with half his leg missing which the vet believed was caused by something having wrapped around his leg causing necrosis. π’ On top of that, the skin on the paw pad of his other leg was red and inflamed which was affecting his ability walk.
Unfortunately, he needed to have the remaining portion of his leg amputated and a biopsy taken from his paw pad as the vet was concerned it could be cancer.
Fortunately, the biopsy came back negative for cancer and the amputation went well, and the captain is now on the road to recovery!
At this point, the cost of his care has surpassed $1,000, with his adoption fee (once he is available) only $75.
Please help us cover the cost of his care, so that we can continue to help injured animals like Captain Jack Sparrow!

Maddie Wagging Her Tail
Maddie is here for the day and she is finally wagging her tail! π₯Ή When she first arrived she was so depressed that she didnβt even want to get up to potty and would urinate on herself π’.
What a difference! π
Maddie Recovering β€οΈ

Inish - Before & After
Update on Inish!
Itβs been a couple of weeks since Inish had his growth removed, and thank goodness it was removed when it was as the further testing showed that it was a cancerous growth. Fortunately, a lot of tissue was taken (hence the large scar) and the vet is confident that it was all removed.
Our boy is now in a foster home recovering and doing great! πβ€οΈ
Any donations to help cover the cost of his surgery are much appreciated! π
We heartbroken π to report that Wrigley crossed the Rainbow Bridge π at 4:29 today in his momβs arms. π
He had an amazing few days filled with love and had a real family at the very end.
Please keep his family in your throughts as despite agreeing to foster a hospice dog, the loss is never easy.
We love you, Wrigley. β€οΈ
Let the spoiling begin. πβ€οΈ
Ava came in today to be officially adopted πππ after a successful surgery that is going to allow her to walk pain-free!
She has been through so much that some of the staff was brought to tears after seeing just how great she looks and feels now! π₯Ή
From being hit by a car, suffering from broken bones, wearing casts for weeks, dislocating her hip multiple times, surgery, and now heartworm treatment, Ava has faced it with grace!
We are so happy for her and her new family, and weβd like to thank Dr. Hulls at Pet Care Veterinary Hospital, Amber's Animal Advocacy, her previous foster mom, and everyone who donated so that this little girl could have a happily ever after.
Thank you! π₯Ήπ₯Ήπ₯Ή
Adoption picture to follow! π
We just took in this little kitten with serious injury to her ear and possible other injuries that will most likely require x-rays. We are not sure what happened, but it appears she may have been attacked by something.
She is currently at the vet under urgent care. We will keep everyone updated on her condition once we know more. ππ
UPDATE: Foster Found! ππ
One of our newly spayed kittens, Lelo has developed pneumonia, which the vet believes was caused from aspirating while sedated. π€π₯Ί
She is currently on medication, but we would like to get her into a foster home where she can be monitored while she recovers. The vet also recommends running a hot shower and letting the hot steam help ease her breathing which we cannot do here, as we donβt have a shower at the facility. π
He does not think she is contagious to other animals, so if you are interested in fostering her, please send us a message! π
If you are not able to foster, please consider donating toward her vet bill today. πβ€οΈ
Thank you!
Bella Ballerina is feeling much better after her spay surgery that removed her pus-filled uterus π’ - a condition known as pyometra.
Without the surgery, this condition can be fatal, but it was fortunately caught in time. As you can see, she is a much happier girl and recovering nicely in her foster home.
This surgery was considered an emergency surgery, and therefore was not cheap. π£ Not that any of the surgeries we pay for for our animals really are. π
Please consider donating to help us cover the cost of her surgery and so we can continue to help more animals like her in the future! πβ€οΈ
Just take a look at our boy playing with toys for the first time! π₯Ήπ₯Ήπ₯Ή
Tiny - a.k.a Stink - has come so far in just the past couple of weeks! Heβs gained weight, has stopped pacing his room, and is now acting like a normal dog!
We were worried before, because he was showing signs of neurological issues from tick-borne diseases, but the medication heβs been on is definitely helping him! β€οΈ
We are now looking for a foster home for him while he undergoes heartworm treatment. π
Update on Ava! β€οΈπΈ
Ava is currently on a home visit for potential adoption and the vet said she only has a couple more weeks until her bandages come off! ππ
She is acting more and more like a normal dog every day and is now wanting to play!
Once her bandages are off, she will start her heartworm treatment. We canβt wait to see her run! ππ
