🐾 Bentley is a 3 month old Goldendoodle seeing Dr. Palmer-Greenberg in our Chesapeake office. Bentley has microphthamia (congenital condition that causes the eyes to be smaller than normal) that was causing entropion (rolling in of the eyelids). Bentley grew a lot in the weeks since his initial visit and his eyelid is no longer rolling in. Good boy, Bentley!

🐾 This sweet Boston Terrier puppy was seen for an OFA screening exam in our Yorktown office with Dr. Berdoulay. 🗒️ The OFA Companion Animal Eye Registry (CAER) is a vital tool for breeders, helping them make informed decisions to ensure healthier dogs. By collecting data on canine eye diseases, we contribute to understanding trends and breed susceptibility.

🐾 Rookie is a 3 year old Pug seen by Dr. Church in our Virginia Beach office. Rookie has Pigmentary Keratitis, which is common in Pugs due to their face shape and genetic factors. Rookie looks great after a few weeks on a topical anti-inflammatory drop and a tear stimulant. Good boy, Rookie!

🐾 Stella is an 11 month old Corgi, seen by Dr. Church in our Virginia Beach office for sudden vision loss. Testing showed that Stella contracted Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever after recent travel up the East Coast. We are happy to report that Stella regained her vision after 1 week on antibiotics! 🎉

🐾 Zeus is a 4 year old Maine C**n who came to see Dr. Palmer-Greenberg in our Chesapeake office for excessive tearing and squinting. He will return to the office next week for surgical correction of entropion (rolling in of the eyelids causing hair to rub on the corneas). See you again soon, Zeus!

💙 Flash Gordon is an 8 year old sugar glider seen by Dr. Church in our Virginia Beach office. Despite vision loss due to glaucoma, Flash Gordon is a very happy and comfortable glider!

🐾 Gator is a 7 year old Lab seen by Dr. Gift in our Chesapeake office for a mass above his right eye. These types of masses are typically benign, but can cause irritation and potentially damage the surface of the eye. Dr. Gift removed the mass under local anesthesia and Gator did great!

🐾 Lexie is a 17 year old Chihuahua seeing Dr. Church for age related changes to her eyes, most recently superficial ulcers in both eyes. Dr. Church performed a procedure to promote healing and our paws are crossed for a speedy recovery!

🐾 Koshka is an 8 month old Maine C**n seen by Dr. Palmer-Greenberg in our Chesapeake office for entropion (rolling in of the eyelids) causing excessive tearing and superficial ulcers. Dr. Palmer-Greenberg placed temporary sutures to keep Koshka’s eyelids in a normal position while he heals. We will check in on his progress (and more playtime 🧶) in a couple of weeks!
