While this may seem a little late, winter has just begun 🙃. These are some good tips …
Here are some helpful tips to keep your dog safe:
If it's snowing, pay close attention to the fur around your dog's feet, as snow could build up between the fur and paw pads, causing unwanted issues and pain.
Use protective balms or waxes to form a barrier between your pup's paws and icy surfaces, including salt-coated roads or sidewalks.
Your dog needs to stay hydrated in extreme hot or cold temperatures. In freezing weather, ensure your dog's water is in a place where it won't freeze.
Keep your dog bundled up. You know you've been looking for a reason to break out those adorable doggy jackets and sweaters.
Being prepared for power outages should include our dogs, so make sure to have easily accessible dog blankets, enough fresh water for everyone in your home, a flashlight, and your dog's favorite toy to keep it entertained.
Stay warm, stay healthy, stay happy! Happy New Year! 🙃🌨💨🦴🍾✨🦮
