Mother dogs Dandelion and Wynter and their puppies urgently need foster homes. Can you help them?
Dandelion is a 2 year old hound mix, and Wynter is a 1 year old terrier mix. Both were transferred to the VBSPCA from public shelters in the region. It's likely neither momma has ever lived inside, and time spent in a foster home will do wonders for their socialization.
Dandelion's 9 puppies are weaned/being weaned and can go to fosters in pairs. However, Wynter's litter of 8 is still nursing and will need to stay together with their mother for a couple of weeks.

Aurora waited over a year to be adopted. She just wishes she'd spent more time protecting her "just adopted" look.

A Puppy Finds Healing at the VBSPCA
Shelters across the region often turn to the VBSPCA for assistance when they have an animal with special needs.
This was the case with Patrick, a young puppy with skin issues. Because of your support, the VBSPCA accepted Patrick as a transfer and is hard at work healing his skin and getting him ready for adoption.

VBSPCA Gives Charlie 23 Her 2nd Chance
A young community cat called Charlie 23 was brought to the Neuter Scooter during one of its regular visits to the Eastern Shore. She had a severely injured leg and would likely not have survived on her own. Thankfully, cattery staff quickly prepared a space for Charlie 23, and she came back on the Neuter Scooter to receive lifesaving care.

A Special Homecoming for Long-Term Residents
For the residents of the VBSPCA, their long journey from homelessness to a forever family ends with a short walk down our hallway.
Some animals, like Cooper and Tiki, wait months to take this walk, but they never give up hope. Because of your support, neither do we. You can save a life for as little as $17 - the cost of one day of care at the VBSPCA.

Kane Finds His 2nd Chance at VBSPCA
A young hound named Kane was living a life of neglect before he arrived at the VBSPCA. He was significantly underweight, and his legs were covered in dried feces and sores from urine burns.
From the moment he arrived at the shelter, Kane has received the compassionate care he was denied for so long. Because of supporters like you, Kane will never again know the feeling of hunger and will never be subjected to living in his own waste.
Kane is still awaiting his forever home, and there are countless other animals who need your support. Your gift this Giving Tuesday ensures animals just like Kane are afforded the same level of care as they wait for the ultimate gift: a home of their own.
