Meet Star!

This sweet older gal came to us through no fault of her own. When Star arrived, she had some medical issues, but thanks to our amazing clinic team, she’s been given the all-clear and is now healthy and ready for her forever home! The best part? Thanks to the Grey Muzzle grant, all of her medical costs have been covered, and her adopters will only need to pay her adoption fee of $175!

Star is an older lady who would benefit from losing a few pounds to get to a healthy weight. She’d make a fantastic walking buddy for anyone looking to get some fresh air and exercise! She’s lived with children and has done well with them, so she’s a great family companion.

We do ask for dog-to-dog introductions for any other dogs in the home, just to ensure everyone gets along and has a smooth transition.

Meet Bridgers!

This sweet, one-year-old tuxedo cat is on the hunt for his forever home! Bridger may be a little shy around other cats, but he gets along GREAT with dogs and would thrive in a home with children. He absolutely LOVES to be pet and cuddled – a true snuggle bug

Bridgers also has a special trick up his sleeve – he LOVES to play fetch! We think he picked up this adorable habit from living with dogs in the past.

Exciting news from last week at the VBSPCA!

We are beyond thrilled to announce that Dallas, our longest resident, has finally found his forever home after 140 days! We couldn’t be happier for him and his new family!

But that's not all—last week was a big week for our animals! A total of 18 adoptions took place!
- 3 small animals
- 8 dogs
- 7 cats

We’re so excited for all of our animals starting their new chapters. Thank you to everyone who adopted, supported, and helped make this possible. Here's to many more happy tails!

This sweet 7-year-old long-haired beauty was brought to us through no fault of her own. Her previous owner developed allergies, and now she's looking for her forever home!

Baby is super sweet but can be a bit sassy at times, which only adds to her charm. She could do well with another feline companion after a slow introduction but would prefer to be in a home without dogs.

💔 We’ve welcomed a group of puppies into our shelter, but their journey ahead is a tough one. These sweet pups were found abandoned in a tote at an elementary school parking lot, extremely malnourished and in poor health. Sadly, they are also suffering from ringworm, leaving their little bodies covered in sore, crusty patches. We acted quickly, starting treatment as soon as they arrived, and they are now in isolation, receiving the dedicated care they need.

Although these puppies still have a long road to recovery, we are incredibly grateful for the Miracle Medical Fund, which allows us to provide the treatment they desperately need.

A few weeks ago, we held a fundraiser featuring Pumpernickel, and the love and support we received from our community caught the attention of a truly generous donor! Thanks to the DeCroix Family Foundation, they have agreed to match all donations up to $5,000 for our next Miracle Medical Fundraiser—helping Pumpernickel and these precious puppies!

Every dollar you contribute will have DOUBLE the impact, providing these puppies with the chance to heal and thrive. Please consider donating and sharing their story—help give these puppies the second chance they deserve!

What an amazing week! We are thrilled to announce that 12 animals have found their forever homes! 6 dogs and 6 cats are now living their best lives thanks to our wonderful adopters.

A special shout out to Ari, who patiently waited 86 days for her perfect match! We're so happy she's finally found her place to call home.

Meet Oreo!

Oreo is a sweet and social guinea pig looking for her forever home! She loves fresh veggies, is great with respectful kids, and enjoys being held.

Oreo was originally spayed due to what we thought was a cyst but after medical examination it turns out she has an enlarged kidney. Good news is that she is entirely healthy will just need lots of water and daily bedding changes.

She may also do well with another guinea pig with a slow introduction.

Say Hello to Bleu!💙

This beautiful 11-month-old Border Collie mix is looking for her forever home. Bleu is a bit shy around unfamiliar faces, but once she warms up to you, she’s as sweet and loving as can be!
