Boxer Rescue is a nonprofit organization founded in 2005. Boxers and Buddies provides a safe, humane sanctuary for abandoned Boxers and other breeds who are waiting to be adopted. B&B is funded solely by private donation. Our entire organization is run by a dedicated team of volunteers. Our group works for the love of the breed and to see dogs find homes. Our available dogs come from local shelter

s, from the streets or from owners who turn them in. We are always filled to capacity with scared, confused and very stressed out dogs. They are with us because B&B is their last hope of finding a new life. We are their temporary haven until they are adopted into a loving permanent home. Before they can be adopted, each dog is evaluated for temperament, must be sterilized, microchipped and their shots are updated. B&B has a training program for those dogs who need rehabilitation or have behaviors which need to be modified. B&B stands apart from other rescues by rescuing any Boxer, regardless of age or health. We feel that they are all worthy of a real chance at life. This policy means that we are subject to frequent and expensive veterinarian costs. Medical expenses are only one of the major cost B&B has to pay each year. The cost are endless: food, mortgage, utilities, insurance, shelter fee, and the costs go on and on. Saving lives is not cheap but someone has to do it! It takes over $250,000 each year to keep B&B open. We are constantly seeking funds and support. We need your help. We depend on our donors and our volunteers to keep B&B open to any Boxer in need. We appreciate your compassion by including a rescue Boxer into your life. Please spread the word and continue to support our efforts.

Hibiscus may have been the last of her litter to go home, but she is #1 with her new family!

They lost their old pup a couple of months ago and when they saw this adorable little girl, they knew it was the right time to have another pup in their home.

She is in for a life of spoiling, love, and snuggles!

Last of the Litter - Meet Hibiscus🌸...

This 12 week old little girl is part of our Tea Bag litter. She was originally going to be adopted by her foster family, but they had a change in circumstances and had to pass. Hibiscus is a sweet little girl with long legs and scruffy hair and a big personality. She loves to play and will hold her own with other pups and dogs. As much as she loves to play, she is happy to curl up in a lap and snuggle.

Meet Nacho and Queso - 9 week old Doxie/Rat Terrier brothers who are each looking for a home of their own. These boys have been with Boxers and Buddies for just 2 weeks and have found their independence. They love to play, are learning basic commands, and are just as happy to cuddle on the couch. Two great pups went home to two great adopters yesterday!

Crème Brûlée will be pampered and loved by her new mom and dad with deliveries from chewy, lap naps, and purse adventures. She will eventually get visits from her human siblings, their kids, and their dogs in years to come. She will celebrate holidays and her birthday and gotcha day.

Luigi went home to his new family who were very diligent in working with us to find the right fit dog. They did their research on his breed and asked all the right questions. He will go on hikes, camping trips, other outdoor adventures. He will also enjoy playing chase with the boys, inspecting the yard, and loving on his mom and dad.

Congratulations to these pups and their new families!

Meet Caeleb, Bobby, and Noah - the remaining 3 pups of our Olympic Gold Litter, and their Mama, Paris.

Caeleb, Bobby, and Noah are 15 week old Doberman/Dogo Argentino/Husky/Pit mix boys. They are very smart, energetic, couch snugglers. All 3 boys are equally beautiful and each has their own unique personality. These will be big boys when full grown based on them already weighing 30ish pounds at 4 months old.

Mama Paris is a Husky mix who is 2 years old. She wants nothing more than to be with her human. She loves going on walks and car rides. While she is a large dog, she is currently fostered in a townhome and is content just hanging out so long as she gets to get out on an occasional adventure.

Pois and Electron got homes today! 🎉

Electron won over her family and she was picked over her sister. They are excited to have a pup in their home again!

Pois’ new mom has been looking for a pup for a year and a half. A few had caught her eye, but not her heart. Then she saw Pois online and she knew he was her new pup!

Last of the litter Missy Elliott went to her new forever home today. . She met her new family at our.Howl-o-ween event last weekend and they couldn’t stop thinking about her the entire week. Missy will be blessed with many family, dog friends and cousins.

We have two foster fortunes (as opposed to a foster fail) to share! Toad and Dulce-de-leche’s fosters knew they were meant for their families. Both puppies scored big time and can now enjoy the rest of their days growing up with their kids, and enjoying the family life.

One of our Olympic gold medalists recently scored big when his foster family decided he needed to spend forever with them. Justin Best, now Benito or Benny will spend his days by his mama’s side when he’s not out playing in the yard with his 4 legged siblings. Congratulations!!!!

Congratulations to Katie, Now Millie on her adoption today. Her new family met her by coincidence at our Howl-o-ween event and fell in love. They have been contemplating adding another dog to the mix and the fates put them in the right place to meet our organization and Katie. Such a great loving family she has joined. Congratulations to all!

This babies are 7-9 weeks old and as sweet as can be! They have just arrived to rescue, so we don't have a ton of information on them other than what is posted here. If you are interested in meeting any of these babies, please fill out an application at boxersandbudies.com.

We extend our sincerest gratitude to all attendees of our Howl-o-ween event, including volunteers, donors, potential adopters, vendors, and participants. Special thanks are also due to Renaissance Hotel and Bundox Bocce. Fortunately, the weather cooperated, people and dogs had fun, money was raised, and we enjoyed a highly successful day!

Missy Elliott is ready to go home. She is so sweet and smart. She’s looking for a family who will let her cuddle, will take her on adventures, and will give her all the pets and treats she deserves! She is good with kids and dogs. She has not been cat tested recently but she was with cats from birth to 10 weeks old.
